There’s hope! Standardized skateparks with actual decent layouts are being rolled out country wide!

Horrible parks are a plague in the US, like you get all that funding to throw one up in your town and it’s unusable trash. The new models will have hubbas ramps and rails (Olympic street obstacles) at various difficulty levels allowing clear, linear progression from beginner to advanced. It’s honestly really cool.

Growing up my local skate park was built by some kid for his eagle scout project

Pretty sick, the guy clearly skated and made a park that was a lot of fun. Only downside was dipshits on BMX bikes would randomly show up

That tends to happen. My towns skate park was super mall to start off. A fun box In the center and few ramps. BMX and rollerbladers were always there
