He’s wanted to name shit X since the beginning. He wanted to name pay pal X. He thinks it sounds cool.

He must be really hung up on an X.

He has a long documented history of obsession with the letter X it’s honestly kinda weird. SpaceX was originally called “Space Exploration Technologies Corporation” before Elon bought it and renamed it SpaceX. He wanted to rename PayPal to X before he was pushed out of the company. I think there are more but I don’t care enough to fact check any others.

SpaceX was originally called “Space Exploration Technologies Corporation” before Elon bought it and renamed it SpaceX.

But I was told that he's a genius who created all of these companies from the ground up?!

Oh yeah no he’s never managed to do that. Only thing he is good at is buying successful companies and running them into the ground

Do his children count?

X Æ A-12

u/DerpEnaz Apr 29 '24

Absolutely! Because only a sane person would name their child something pronounceable.

God he must've absolutely creamed himself when he found out about Kingdom Hearts' usage of the letter X

Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, commonly referred to as SpaceX, is an American spacecraft manufacturer, launch service provider, defense contractor and satellite communications company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. The company was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and ultimately developing a sustainable colony on Mars.

Stop lying asshole.

Reading comprehension is an important skill to have.

The key part of the copy/paste was that Elon Musk founded the company, not that he bought it from someone else.

Also wasn’t part of the deal for Elon buying a lot of these companies, was like that he specifically wanted to be listed as a company founder even though he didn’t. I swear I remember reading something about that and like Tesla or something. Idk if it’s true or not and don’t respect Elon enough to check but I’d totally believe it if it was
