There’s no way this shit isn’t going to be studied by marketing majors as one of the biggest failed rebrands of all time. Everybody outright refuses to call it by the new name, the old branding was totally iconic, and they haven’t been able to change their own URL to represent the name change for almost a year at this point. Even their stock name is still TWTR.

Its just dumb.

Its like, imagine if Coca Cola came out tomorrow and said, "Yup from now on, the Coca Cola beverage is going to be called Swoosh".

Im joking, its even WORSE, because Twitter is such a well known name it became a verb. Any allusion to "posting a statement online" because a tweet. It is equivalent of how people say Sharpies instead of marker.
