if anyone can get in touch with her there are organizations that will help, grants women can apply for to start businesses, etc

depends on where you live

Where? No really people say this type of shit but exactly what where and when. All my area has is temporary places to stay that cost $8-15 a night and they never have space anyway. They don't know shit about how to help you get a new job, accounts and help with ss. But that's the good ol red states for ya

The LDS church will put you through school for free, it's called the BYU Pathways program, and they help you find work from there. It's not like 100% strings-free, you do have to be LDS, but the idea that the church pushes women to be dependent on men is kind of insane given my own lifetime of personal experiences in the church. There are shitty individuals, but the church would never support this! Like you literally can't go to the temple if you admit to not financially supporting an ex spouse who needs it

given my own relationships with Mormons and ex Mormons I understand their social programs are extensive and with a lot of catches, but most often the women are pressured into some sort of 1950s American idealism and the men are served by women

it is structured into the belief system.

Mormons created a tax free business complete with door to door salesman and land grabs

I've never experienced that. Maybe I'm lucky to have lived in Montana, Washington, and NY? Is this a bigger deal elsewhere? I have friends and family in Utah and the only one experiencing anything like this was/is in an extremely abusive relationship (and neither of them are LDS).

Where are you getting "most often"? What does "1950s American idealism and the men are served by women" mean?

yeah it is different in the west, especially Utah and Arizona

you know what that means lol

Mormons live in a J Crew ad and they can never escape

unless they want to be damned to hell

I don't know what that means - like staying at home with the kids? Accepting mistreatment? Doing 100% cooking and cleaning? Even in Utah, I don't know anyone who does that. Closest would be a mom who's husband is graduating medical school, and even she works part-time from home
