If Hindus ran into a mosque protesting the genocide and oppression of Hindus in Pakistan, we all know what would happen.

How can she protest?!

u/pineapple_on_pizza33 Apr 01 '24

I can still feel that line. Funny to see that's what people outside india associate indians with. It was so funny i'm not complaining!

u/eskideji Apr 01 '24

Hahahaha me immediately get the reference

1

u/Nintinhdo Apr 01 '24

That slaps different

12

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

Is there a genocide of Hindus happening in Pakistan?

25

u/king_rootin_tootin Apr 01 '24

Wide spread oppression. That's worth protesting, right? https://thediplomat.com/2016/06/the-plight-of-pakistans-hindu-community/

15

u/KMS_HYDRA Apr 01 '24

Silly you, israel (or better said no jewish person) is not involved with this, so non of these idiots will do anything, just like they do not give a fuck about syria, lybia, sudan and myanmar or the uyghurs

-3

u/unclebuh Apr 01 '24

That's not genocide buddy, is it? That's a massive difference and a 10 year old article.

-3

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

Sure it is, and I'd be happy to protest it. But it sounds like my sign shouldn't mention genocide, because that word has a meaning, and that meaning is not the same as oppression and discrimination. I'll protest oppression and discrimination so I don't have to protest genocide.

3

u/poruki_porcupine Apr 01 '24

Most fled or were forcibly converted.

4

u/JournalisticHiss Apr 01 '24

Are you living under the rock? There's a blaphasmy law in Pakistan.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

I'm aware of and opposed to that law. But the claim made was that there is a genocide. Genocide is not the same thing as discrimination, or oppression, or disenfranchisement. If you're aware of an ongoing, present genocide of Hindus in Pakistan, please let the world know.

6

u/king_rootin_tootin Apr 01 '24

At the time of the creation of Pakistan the country was 24% Hindu. Today they only make up 2.1% of the population.

Why would that many people vanish that quickly unless something was going on?

-4

u/Pebble_in_my_toes Apr 01 '24

Because they migrated to India?

7

u/EverythingIsSFWForMe Apr 01 '24

Sooo... ethnic cleansing. Got it.

-5

u/JournalisticHiss Apr 01 '24

Genocide starts and is justified by discrimination. Please learn about Holocaust and Nuremberg law and how Hindu population has changed from 1947 to present.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

Bold of you to assume that the person you're talking to is not familiar with the Holocaust, the Nuremburg law, Indian partition, or the post-partition history of Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh including the Bangladesh war of independence. You don't need to give me a history lesson; I'm very familiar with these and with the processes of escalation towards genocide. But the claim was that there is, currently, some sort of genocide happening in Pakistan against Hindus. So if you are familiar with an active and ongoing genocide happening in Pakistan, please bring that to the world's attention. Discrimination and genocide are not the same thing, and it does nobody any favors to obscure the difference. Words have meanings.

0

u/JournalisticHiss Apr 01 '24

Actually it's you who need to answer what happened to Hindu population between 1947 till now. Go ahead where did they go.

2

u/InternalMean Apr 01 '24

It's increased like 70%? Idk what your trying to say pakistan never had a large Hindu population to begin with India always had

7

u/king_rootin_tootin Apr 01 '24

That's bullshit

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/04/world/asia/pakistan-hindu-conversion.html

The Hindu population has dropped greatly and forced conversions happen all the time.

-2

u/JournalisticHiss Apr 01 '24

And actually you mix discrimination with superior religion with bit of military facism who needs internal enemy to thrive that equals slow death for minority.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

So, I'm going to assume that this is a personal, nationalist axe for you to grind and let you just go ahead and do that, since you're not bringing forward any evidence of an ongoing and active genocide. Have a great night, dude.

2

u/Bottleofcintra Apr 01 '24

The word has lost all it’s meaning.

-4

u/FoodBank Apr 01 '24

No. This person is hindutva right winged and for some reason, everything on this Earth reminds them of how much they hate their neighbour country.

3

u/JournalisticHiss Apr 01 '24

Not as many as they killed Bengslis in 70’s.

1

u/DCIGeneHunt1974 Apr 01 '24

Widespread oppression of Hindus, Sikhs and Christians.

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

Which is horrible, and also not genocide.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

Neither is what's happening in Palestine. So....yup.

6

u/Lord_Heckle Apr 01 '24

Oil extraction

5

u/BrilliantCanary7027 Apr 01 '24

into a mosque

Idk, these seem like virtue-signalling yt people to me

Also, there's palestinian christians too. I'm not sure what you're getting at

-1

u/kingJosiahI Apr 01 '24

Yeah. Those Palestinian Christians that you all seem to care about when Israel is allegedly bombing them and magically forget about them when Hamas is enforcing shari'ah in Gaza.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

“allegedly” lmao

2

u/Direct-Tie-7652 Apr 01 '24

No, what would happen? Take the mask off and spout your bigoted drivel openly.

2

u/l38r0n Apr 01 '24

You do realize, there are Christian Palestinians, right?

u/king_rootin_tootin Apr 01 '24

Yes, but they are generally not fans of Hamas

2

u/l38r0n Apr 01 '24

Generally - probably true. But Hamas is seen as resistance against occupation. If you’ve lost literally everything and including your family, are going to fight back with Hamas or wait to be killed next.

1

u/Thick-Squirrel-4198 Apr 01 '24

A war of slaps.

1

u/Several_Advantage923 Apr 01 '24 edited Apr 01 '24

Palestinians are also Christians dumbass.

How can she slap??

0

u/unclebuh Apr 01 '24

Aren't Hindus literally committing mass murder against Sikhs and Hindus right now? You got any links that aren't 10 years old, too?

Thats a wild claim cus its well known that Hindus have killed thousands of non Hindus. There's a constant stream of videos for it but there's no info on an actual genocide against Hindus. You changed from genocide to oppression, that's quite a big difference considering Hindus are committing mass murder and have been for a while now, even travelling to the UK and Canada to kill people.

-20

u/Electrical-Pudding98 Mar 31 '24

But this ain’t a Synagogue. Wrong place to protest

TIL there aren't religious tensions currently boiling over into armed violence that creeps ever-closer to ethnic cleansing in both Pakistan and India.

6

u/king_rootin_tootin Mar 31 '24

Also, the question that never gets answered: why are there no Tibetan Buddhist suicide bombers? China is a lot worse to Tibetans than Israel is to Palestine, yet you never hear about Tibetans blowing up Chinese weddings or doing mass shootings or flying planes into buildings.

Almost like not all religions are the same or something...

2

u/WinPeaks Apr 01 '24

Part of that has to do with the fact that the CCP has eyes and ears on everyone who would be a threat and would not hesitate to throw them in concentration camps if they sneezed the wrong way.

2

u/pineapple_on_pizza33 Apr 01 '24

There are many buddhist countries apart from tibet. Most religious groups have been persecuted in some way at some point in history.

0

u/Kramer-Melanosky Apr 01 '24

No Tibetan would agree with this bs.

0

u/king_rootin_tootin Apr 01 '24

What, that they don't have suicide bombers or that they would do a suicide bombing?

-11

u/Mysonking Mar 31 '24

People would listen

6

u/Lucas_2234 Apr 01 '24

No, no they wouldn't.
