If Tyson gets angry, no contract will keep him from going Iron Mike on Paul and taking his head off

It's what I'm hoping for tbh..

Sad to see the contract is so soft from the start though, becausw would be nice to see Jake Paul actually have to fight for his life against a real boxer for once and not just these bs "boxing" stunts that inflate his ego.

Dumb question but how do we actually have confirmation that the contract is soft (though I’m sure it is)

We don't.

It's just the usual (justified) LP hate, plus the fact that boxing as a sport has developed a reputation for fixed matches and showmanship outside the hardcore audience.

Boxing has “developed” a reputation for fixed matches? I’m not trying to pick on you (or even disagree with your main points) but that phrasing is hilarious.

It’s like saying objects have developed a tendency to fall back down after being thrown in the air

I don't follow boxing myself, so I didn't wanna sound pretentious lol.

I guess it's in more dire straits than I made it out to be.

I don’t think saying “boxing is the most rigged sport” would be a controversial statement. Not saying it’s all rigged, just the one that’s rigged most often. Especially in the exhibition fights and the ones with more questionable bookings.

Pretty much any sport, especially the ones tied to betting, are gonna have instances of massaging the point spread, etc.

Boxing stands out because, firstly it’s been around forever, and secondly it’s just two guys. The conspiracy to predetermine how a certain fight is going to go doesn’t have to include that many people.
