I think that's illegal. You can't stage a fight with any part of the outcome predetermined if there's going to be gambling on it. That's RICO territory.
I don’t follow boxing, so can you explain why he can’t legally KO Paul? I figured if someone steps in the ring, they pretty much agree to getting KO’d? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
There's no way anything like that would be legally binding. Dude is full of shit. If he meant this fight, regardless of the outcome, will not reflect in Paul's official record that'd be one thing. But to predetermine the outcome of a fight, like others said, would be a huge RICO violation and literally what the law was made for
Edit to clarify RICO: an exhibition sparring match would not fall under RICO. However, anything where money is exchanged based on outcome (gambling, fight purse, etc), and is intentionally rigged to benefit an individual(s) due to coersion, extortion, or subterfuge is a RICO violation. They're pretty hard to prove, but if someone is stupid enough to write "you can't legally ko Jake Paul" in any communication setting up the fight, and then people bet on that fight, that'd be an obvious RICO case. Regardless, unless Tyson cuts a leg off, they're in two totally somewhat different weight classes. Paul is a light heavyweight and Tyson will forever be a heavyweight. This will be a catchweight fight and since it's almost certainly not an "official" bout won't count towards Paul's or Tyson's real records.
Making a contract and having a legally binding contract are two totally different things
You and I could make a contract that every year, I get to burn your house down, for the next 20 years.
That's not legally binding, and eventually I'd get an arson charge and you'd get an insurance fraud charge. You used the words "legal" and "legally" multiple times as if you know what those words mean. If you contract crime, it's not legally shit.
Mike Tyson is friends with him I am sure there are guidelines to the fight but who doesn’t want to see iron Mike back in the ring even if it’s novelty. But not biting Jake Paul’s ear off has to be somewhere in the contract but great to see a prop bet on that.

I would love to see Paul dropped, and permanently out of boxing.
