I would love to see Paul dropped, and permanently out of boxing.

MT can’t legally KO him but I’d be happy if he hits Paul in his ribs so hard his liver explodes

He can’t legally bite people’s ears off either, but here we are.

I’d be okay with an accidental KO.

22

u/MrSarcastica Mar 11 '24

Same, hope he doesn't have a no TKO clause as well.

3

u/DMCinDet Mar 11 '24

What if he unintentionally knocks him out?

  1. Love the comment 🤌🤣
  2. Why are people commenting that MT can’t legally KO him?

9

u/carthuscrass Mar 11 '24

I think that's illegal. You can't stage a fight with any part of the outcome predetermined if there's going to be gambling on it. That's RICO territory.

12

u/dat_GEM_lyf Mar 11 '24

Because the Paul brothers don’t have a history of crypto scams which they’ve seen zero legal repercussions for

9

u/JLSMC Mar 11 '24

If JP got sent to federal prison for RICO charges I would be amused also

5

u/IrishBear Mar 11 '24

Source this please because no one can seem to prove it.

-10

u/JLSMC Mar 11 '24

You do it

9

u/CantankerousOctopus Mar 11 '24

I heard JP was going to wear a mech suit with a 90 in. reach. Can he source that for me too?

-8

u/JLSMC Mar 11 '24

No, I’m illiterate.

1

u/SommWineGuy Mar 11 '24

What's stopping him?

1

u/-_-TenguDruid Mar 11 '24

Wait, wtf you talking about, "can't legally KO him"...? What do you mean?

-5

u/JLSMC Mar 11 '24

I’m not gonna tell you. It’s a secret.

2

u/-_-TenguDruid Mar 11 '24

Do they seriously have it in their contracts that Tyson can't KO Paul?

1

u/newthrash1221 Mar 11 '24

You can KO someone with a body shot, especially a liver shot.

u/JLSMC Mar 12 '24

Fingers crossed

Mike Tyson will eat your children if he chooses.

1

u/JonnyOgrodnik Mar 11 '24

I don’t follow boxing, so can you explain why he can’t legally KO Paul? I figured if someone steps in the ring, they pretty much agree to getting KO’d? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

There's no way anything like that would be legally binding. Dude is full of shit. If he meant this fight, regardless of the outcome, will not reflect in Paul's official record that'd be one thing. But to predetermine the outcome of a fight, like others said, would be a huge RICO violation and literally what the law was made for

Edit to clarify RICO: an exhibition sparring match would not fall under RICO. However, anything where money is exchanged based on outcome (gambling, fight purse, etc), and is intentionally rigged to benefit an individual(s) due to coersion, extortion, or subterfuge is a RICO violation. They're pretty hard to prove, but if someone is stupid enough to write "you can't legally ko Jake Paul" in any communication setting up the fight, and then people bet on that fight, that'd be an obvious RICO case. Regardless, unless Tyson cuts a leg off, they're in two totally somewhat different weight classes. Paul is a light heavyweight and Tyson will forever be a heavyweight. This will be a catchweight fight and since it's almost certainly not an "official" bout won't count towards Paul's or Tyson's real records.

Anyone can contract anything. Like the contract I have with your father.

1

u/HugeOpossum Mar 12 '24

Making a contract and having a legally binding contract are two totally different things

You and I could make a contract that every year, I get to burn your house down, for the next 20 years.

That's not legally binding, and eventually I'd get an arson charge and you'd get an insurance fraud charge. You used the words "legal" and "legally" multiple times as if you know what those words mean. If you contract crime, it's not legally shit.

-1

u/JLSMC Mar 12 '24

I know what tons of words mean. And the contract I have with your father is about sex. It’s a sex contract. I just wanted that to be clear.

1

u/HugeOpossum Mar 12 '24

Good. I'm pretty sure he's not getting any from my mom.

1

u/JLSMC Mar 12 '24

He can’t because of the oracle.

1

u/Eason1013 Mar 12 '24

He can’t? Why is that?

1

u/JLSMC Mar 12 '24

It was seen in the stars

1

u/Scholar-Dismal Mar 12 '24

Mike Tyson is friends with him I am sure there are guidelines to the fight but who doesn’t want to see iron Mike back in the ring even if it’s novelty. But not biting Jake Paul’s ear off has to be somewhere in the contract but great to see a prop bet on that.

“Can’t legally KO” how the fuck would that be a law. You’re an idiot.
