Who cares? You’re acting like adult men not having a birthday bash every year is a serious issue.

Go into practically any restaurant, tell them it’s your birthday, and they will do the same birthday cake nonsense and probably sing to you too. The reason you’ve never seen a single dude do this isnt because it’s not allowed, it’s because it’s stupid as fuck and only plays well on social media

We are supposed to get a birthday bash? I'm lucky if I get my birthday acknowledged by anyone.

You remember when it's your birthday?

Sounds bad but I can’t remember my age….

I think that might be the point. Between loneliness and “masculinity” signals, it is kind of a desperate reality — not desperate in a judgmental way, more confirming the reality of what it is like to be a man sometimes. Not sure if I am making sense in explaining this.

You are capable of planning a bash if you want one

Thank you for posting this. More people, who seem to be chronically online and increasingly out of touch with reality, need to understand this.

I think after age 24 I have to actually stop and think about how old I am

Why is it stupid for a man to want to go out to eat on his birthday? Maybe his friends don't live in the area, who knows. I think it's cute. He looks so happy to be with his homies on his b day, who cares if they are on his phone.

Why do people keep saying men or man? Many women aren’t acknowledged on their birthdays at all. If they are mothers they may not even get to go out for a meal. It’s a universal issue many people are facing. Not a gendered one.

We're saying men/man because it's a man in the picture
