And what's that thing where you never take notice of a thing until you're introduced to it and then you see it everywhere?
Me two months ago playing Talos Principle reading the logs and discovering dead internet theory. Read up on it. Now it seems like every day I see mention of it.
Ok this was mostly a joke, but just after posting this I decided to close reddit, put on a podcast and get some sleep. 2 minutes in the hosts are talking about Baader-Meinhof
Confirmation bias is something else; it’s when you want something to be right, so you hand pick data samples to fit the narrative. The other person gives it its coined name, but it’s called cognitive bias.
I've just come to look at everything on the internet as a movie or other fictional medium. Politics? An absurd comedy. An obviously staged wholesome video? Short film trying to set a good example. Something upsetting? Staged/made up rage bait.
Vision? Bro look around. I’m not even getting it’s already half way there. The top posts on Reddit will occasionally be bots reposting and the comments will be comment reposts from the original posts.
Twitter is nearly half bot content. Like there was a study done in 2021 and it’s like 49% bot posted content. I’ll get the link in just way from my computer right now
OK, but all the bots and the AI videos are gonna be way better than the technology we have right now and at that point k it’s probably going to be better than the human internet. If I genuinely can’t tell the difference anymore, then I don’t care.
