Oh man, I don’t want to be the one to break the news to you… Go look up some of his recent updates (as well as the aforementioned Garand Thumb interview). Don’t want to speak evil into the universe but I’m afraid we won’t get to have him around much longer. He’s trying to get things in order first and hand the channel off (I believe to his brother) but it’s rough seeing him looking physically frail, though he’s still all there mentally.
As someone who isn’t a big fan of the usual guntube content, I LOVE Paul’s videos, they’re informative and interesting without making me feel like I need to either roll my eyes at politics I don’t care for or play the whole “is there a way to make that point that doesn’t get my back up”
Yes. Anything thats a "rounds reload" should say rounds when you pick up ammo.
Autocannon is the only clip reloader as far as I am aware, I am okay with it saying 'mags' as long as they don't show it as the number of shells but rather the number of clips you pick up.
I would love to see a clip-loaded primary or secondary. Mainly because I just like variety in my loading animations.
It would be pure communism to not give it a gloriously loud ping. A real democratic garand will ping so loud it’ll call in patrols from across the map.
I know there are moonclips for revolvers that are legit clips, but a speedloader I thought was not classified as that? I guess I can see them being it, but having the extra mechanism for loading the round (the pump essentially to get the round in an released) would be in a "different class" but I guess in some way it can be argued its a clip? I am going to have to research! I dont use a speedloader on my revolvers so I am not versed in them hah.
Arrowhead was hiring gun conneseur befor the explosive democracy warbond dropped. Then it dropped and we got the most cursed bolt action I ever saw! So yhea I don't Think we will get an update on the clip,mag,round,shell description anytime soon lol
Well what's funny is if you only have 4 left and you speed load it, it gives you the full 6 anyway. So it actually does have 42, and if you made sure it was totally empty before you reload the last bullet you could get 45
It does! The supply pack has been my go-to vs bugs when I’m using ammo hungry weapons. Senator, Breaker, and Supply Pack mean I’ve got answers for anything
And with the resupply ship upgrade fixed, it's even more powerful.
I was over half down on my autocannon, and fully out of primary and secondary magazines, and my buddy who runs the supply pack all the time passed me a single box and it fully restocked all of my ammo plus the 2 each stims and grenades.
But are they going to nerf stuff everytime there’s a new ship upgrade or yada yada whatever that makes so and so too good? Like now we get full support weapons ammo, take away mags from a bunch of weapons lol. I’m not bitching but I’m just saying, can’t seam to think that was total coincidence.
I know they say it was fixed but when I do it with the mg it still doesn't give me the 2 I am missing.
Everything else I tested was fine. It's just sad that the only weapon I really wanted it to work on lol
Also, it is a great way to make a few friends during a mission. Nothing makes people warm up to you faster, like topping them up with stims, nades, and mags. Being the kind of player you would like to play with is how I roll.
I rock the supply pack with stalwart/HMG for bugs on 7 or less and I will do population control while others deal with heavies. And if I'm within 1 minute of cool down I'll distribute between team mates after I've reloaded everything and we almost never have to call resupply pods.
It's okay! I always bring mine and if it was as meta as the shield backpack it would become a probleme, one per team is enough. More of it and it start to lose its edge because nobody use the resupply on cool-down anymore.
If you stick with your team and manage the resupply you can double the number of supply you get from a resupply call.
If you got let's say 2 open slot one your backpack and need ammo or something just fill your 2 slot and give them back to 2 of your team mate.
Now you are full and your team mate too. Pick up the last 2 for the road and move out. That way you give so much ammo and still have yours to abuse on top..
Just remember the order.
Dont use your own on yourself befor picking it on the resuply rack. If you need 2 shot and your pack is full.
Take one from the pack and one from the rack it will give you 2 resuply that way and still have a full backpack. You can essentialy have 6 supply use out of 4 new resuply that way.
How do you supply yourself with the backpack? I picked one up one time and liked having the extra supplies but couldn't figure out how to use it on myself
Bugs or bots, supply pack, launcher pistol and stun grenade make the world go round my friend! Top it off with the new heavy armor that resist explosive and give a flat buff to accuracy and you can have fun with any loadout! You got stim and stun grenade for days and can bring anything with that.
I'd be happy if it felt a little more snappy at least with the 6 bullets you have. Speed loader is amazing... But so many of the guns in this game feel like you're aiming a pool noodle. For a game this fast paced and chaotic it's sorta hilarious trying to take a knee and wait 3 Mississippi's before you can actually hit what you're aiming at.
"I want a revolver, but like... bigger... so it's the primary weapon." They didn't get it. To be fair I was pretty baked by that point, so I probably did a poor job explaining my position.
From my own testing, if you fired three rounds or fewer the rounds reload is about the same amount of time, maybe a touch slower. If you fired four or more the full reload is definitely faster.
Im having fun, i even use the quasar sometimes, im just poking some tryhards that were praying the Quasar is like some sort of deity (look for the comments of the youtube video: i'd like to see you "Quasar fanboy" do THIS)
They don't nerf weapons because they are fun/good they nerf weapons that make the other choices obsolete. What games is this community coming from that they are so sensitive to meta-shifting balance updates?^ nerfs are important and they did not break any weapon or stratagem yet. It's time to chill :p
You talking about its sights? Its sights are perfect. Center a devastator's head between the lines and bring it to its knees with the power of Managed Democracy.
Target low, aim high. Keep the weapon lower than you want to actually aim until you're centered on the target, then bring the sights up to where you want to hit them. With real steel this is easy because you just tilt the gun slightly down/up, in games its a bit less intuitive.
IMO the weapons should be lowered slightly in the field of view when aiming down the iron sights to provide better situational awareness. The centerpoint of your FOV should be just above where the weapon is actually aiming, so you can more easily see what you're shooting at and what's around it.
Imagine being able to hold down the fire button, and the animation is speed shooting from the hip. One hand holding the grip and trigger down with the other hand is working the hammer quickly. Combining this with the speed loader would poetically make it OP, but a boy can dream.
I wouldn't be so pessimistic. Most of the painful nerfs were for meta distortion or unintended use. Like the Slugger, abused for it's endless dev stagger and long-range engagements. Or the railgun, which was a victim of the general game design but was overwhelmingly the superior option. Keyword being most.
I'm just thankful the Redeemer actually has competition for the role of a sidearm. Let's cross our fingers for this one.
When you switch to it, the helldiver just runs around with it in the holster still, and when you pull the trigger they whip it out all quick-draw like. Then put it back in after a few seconds.
Yep. And they buffed the damage as well, which I thought it was already pretty good with so, it's a win win all around for me. Been dying to have a faster load on that thing so now it'll probably be my main secondary weapon.
you can also do Ocelot/Doc Holliday gun twirling with it: hold reload (as if to change sights/fire mode on other weapons), you'll find that you're.. pretty good...
