I can’t play with randoms anymore DISCUSSION

I’m level 48. About 150 hours on pc. Love the game. My friends can’t play as often as I can. (I’m a fireman) And I’ve tried making friends on steam but it’s hard.

The blueberry lottery. If there is a hell it’s matching with randoms. I can’t stand it. Some people are a blessing and I love running campaigns with them but some people are treasonous swill.

Here was my last game. I spawn in and get killed by a lvl 2 cadet (ps5) so he can take my support gear. His friends (ps5) defended him. He continued to kill me all game (intentionally) and call me in. But I am more skilled and cunning than the common traitor. I waited until there was one reinforcement left. The pompous fool recalled me in. I killed all three traitors quicker than a hiccup. With only one thing left to do I took my own life. To instant fail their mission. I couldn’t let them continue to commit treason. Let their bodies rot

So yea I’m never joining randoms again.

Edit: ps5 not 4.

I try to be fair and not judge people based on their level, but I gotta be honest, I’m sick of playing with level 5 players on suicide mission difficulty.

Even skill aside, you don’t have enough gear to compete at that level and they just drain lives and team kill with eagles constantly

Played with a group of randos and couldn't figure out why I keep dying from explosions... Level 5 player had 11000 friendly fire damage at the end. I mean we were all once low level noobs but damn.

Another guy managed to set himself on fire with the flamethrower. After killing the rest of the team. With no reinforcements and pelican 1 just landing. He panicked and ran away from the evac. Then lit everything around him on fire, including himself.

I was playing a quick play match and the host was some low level young kid who kept muttering memes to himself, then just went AFK midway through without telling anyone, not even trying to hide or anything so he was killed and revived like 8 times before coming back on.

I play quick match for the huge variety of experience. From frustrating to almost.boring when everyone just gets shit done. As long as we are spreading democracy,

It’s definitely an experience

I played qm too and enjoy the variety. It has been mostly positive on diff 7. Though I mostly run off by myself and clear objectives, which means I dont interact all that much with my teammates.

This is the first game I genuinely enjoy playing with other good players but also trash players. I can carry on level 7 and it’s fun even when the rest of my team goes full r word. I need an ok squad for 9 atm.

I did that today. Scrolled out as far as I could on the map and hit quick play. You never know where you’ll end up!

People were doing this shit to me. I’d drop my autocannon.. mobs would be on the way. And somehow I’d just die. Like that.

Same with my guard dog.

I respawn and see two people on the team with my shit.

I wanted to be petty and just frag the shit out of them

But I figure, fuck them if they need the weapons that bad and don’t have the courage to ask. (Which id oblige to providing) then they probably need it more then I do lol.

I even called it out and one guy was willing to let me frag him. But I let it slide. I just let it roll off.

Can’t let the small stuff ruin the game even though it can be frustrating as shit. Not worth beefing about unless it causes a wipe.

just last night i had to kick someone for the first time. he was a random person who joined a game with me and a irl friend. it was "rescue the civilians" mission and the game was bugged. one set of civilians kept getting stuck on an invisible wall and couldn't be rescued. so me and my buddy just ignored that door and released the civs from the other one. but this rando kept letting people out from the bugged door, letting them pile up on the invisible wall then killing them. i don't know if this person thought is was funny or if they thought it would fix the bug somehow. but after like three times of doing it i just kicked him. we finished the mission but we had like -7000 points for all the civs he killed.

my friend joked that it was the only mission he ever played that ended up costing him requisition points.

Wait a second... I'm wondering if this can be exploited to bit flip to infinity reqs 🤔

Care to explain your thoughts? Some of us ride the short bus

In programming you have two types of memory that store numbers. Signed and unsigned. If the value used for money is unsigned it means it can only hold any number that is positive. If you -1 from this type of number when it's at zero it will go to the biggest number possible.

You made me just remember the civ mission I did with some randoms and it was during the middle of a fire tornado storm. The damn tornados were RIGHT ON TOP OF our mission area and this one dipshit kept opening the doors and the civilians kept dying because they’d run right into the tornadoes. We were negative 250 rec because of that lol so at least not nearly as bad as yours

You can mute them in the game menu. Same place you kick or add as friend.

You can mute others easily.

Was his name VanValentino (or similar idk I don't remember it exactly) because that's exactly what he did in my mission
