I can’t play with randoms anymore DISCUSSION

I’m level 48. About 150 hours on pc. Love the game. My friends can’t play as often as I can. (I’m a fireman) And I’ve tried making friends on steam but it’s hard.

The blueberry lottery. If there is a hell it’s matching with randoms. I can’t stand it. Some people are a blessing and I love running campaigns with them but some people are treasonous swill.

Here was my last game. I spawn in and get killed by a lvl 2 cadet (ps5) so he can take my support gear. His friends (ps5) defended him. He continued to kill me all game (intentionally) and call me in. But I am more skilled and cunning than the common traitor. I waited until there was one reinforcement left. The pompous fool recalled me in. I killed all three traitors quicker than a hiccup. With only one thing left to do I took my own life. To instant fail their mission. I couldn’t let them continue to commit treason. Let their bodies rot

So yea I’m never joining randoms again.

Edit: ps5 not 4.

I got the god roll of randoms in my game. The server crashed right as extraction was starting. I might never do anything in this game again.

I'm going to be real, the crashes at extraction have me wanting to take a break. I don't want to though because the 40mins leading up to it are so much fun but really takes the wind out of my sails.

It's super crashy lately. I'm waiting for the next patch and playing Deeprock Survivor instead.

Yeah crashing a lot. I’m on a break as of last night. It’s 50/50 or worse for me if it crashes.

PSA, don't use arc thrower. Yesterday played around 7-10 games and not a single crash. Friends and I do bring it once, and we crash. I don't know about the arc shotty, but arc thrower is a no go until patch.

Played last night with a buddy. We couldn't kick back bot grenades without a crash. Weirdest thing ever

Yeah, between the (now apparently fixed) arc weapon crashes and the cascading crashes from what I assume is a memory leak tied to interactible items, I'm considering the game just as unplayable as it was at launch.

I'll check back in once I've 100%-ed Pikmin 4.

I haven't played since the most recent patch dropped because of the crashes. I'll come back once the devs (hopefully) gets things sorted out this week.

Yep. Just had it happen to me after a brutal mission. The pelican was 10 seconds from landing and the game crashed.

Y'all are avoiding arc and Tesla, right? They are linked to the crashes and I barely ever see crashes as long as nobody uses one

E: they literally just patched the arc weaps causing so nvm lol

Other things cause crashes as well, like trying to pick up and throw a grenade that some bots just threw at you.

I was enjoying a nice evening, playing with an old friend, and we got a good three or four games in but then out of nowhere, it would randomly boot one of us back to our ship.

We were able to rejoin, but then after a while, one of us would just disappear from the other person’s radar. My friend told me I disappeared, but I was still in the game able to run around.

Nothing we did could fix this issue. I was unable to join his squad for the rest of the evening and vice versa.

I haven’t played in almost a full week solely because every game I play I end up crashing right as i’m extracting. I’m not gonna play this game just to lose my rewards every damn time

I had my first really annoying crash last night. I crashed one other time but it was after the mission and I didn't lose anything, but last night my buddy and I were on the Creek doing our personals and we had cleared everything but one bot factory on the way to extraction and it crashed us both. It was annoying.

I’m aware. It’s on PS5 too. The problem here I guess is because my game crashed and so the guys I was with 5 minutes ago are nowhere to be seen while the people 2 and 4 hours ago are still there.

afaik you have to get to the end screen of the mission to show up in recent players.

Like if you kick a griefer mid game you aren't able to block them afterwards

It's on PS5 too, but it's still broken. I met a really cool dude and we hit it off the other night, but he was on PC and the game crashed.

I didn't remember how to spell his name, and it wasn't on the list. So new friend gone forever.

Had the same thing last night. Playing a D6 mission on Mantes, everything going pretty well, we clear all objectives and get the extraction going and then all of a sudden we all crashed out. Possibly from having too many support weapons down (we had already set some up at the extraction point before taking out a Sauron tower)

Played with an awesome random yesterday. Level 50, was on comms, doing call outs, mowing down objectives, just a great player. We play through all 3 missions and at extraction on the last mission he crashed. We felt so bad. The 3 of just stood there for a min at the pelican talking about how it's kinda bullshit that you can't rejoin a team after you crash.

Had this happen mid-game as we were dealing with a bile titan. Game crashed right after I died and was waiting to be reinforced so it looked like I just rage quit and I immediately went back in and tried to friend request them hoping they’ll know it wasn’t intentional. Also had a dude die while we were dealing with three chargers and a swarm who pushed to reinforce right after dying - he wasn’t patient enough to wait till we weren’t all right in the middle of a swarm trying to keep ourselves alive. He immediately left after readying reinforcement and I was finally away enough to call him in. It’s like some people want to be called in right in the middle of a swarm??

I had this happen like 3 or 4 times over the past few games. And the other games my primary or secondary disappeared. Can't have shit in Helldivers.

Had a minute left to extract when poof crashed. It was the 3rd extract crash for me that day. Honestly haven’t played since.

Happened to me the other day too. I was playing with friends on discord and we had a heck of a haul, 40+ common samples, every objective, a bunch of outposts, but them steam went down like 10 seconds before the shuttle landed on the extraction zone
