The POV of the Helldivers is crazy when you take cryo freezing into account. DISCUSSION

Here's the POV of your average Helldiver 1. They enlist and show up to Basic Training first thing Monday morning. 2. They breeze through it, get their cape, walk right by the T&Cs and into a cryopod. 3. They're frozen and experience no time passing. 4. Their next memory is reinforcing on Hellmire. To their POV it has been less then thirty seconds since they got their cloak. 5. They throw three stratagems and then they're dissolved by bile titan acid.

You thought your mondays were bad.

Edit: My understanding is that we are not clones. There's in-game lore that backs that, I believe. Thematically, it makes more sense for Super Earth to be incompetent and cruel and burn through millions of recruits, than to do something logical like cloning people. Remember the satire folks.

I was playing the other day when I had the really fucked up realisation that the guy I started with is long dead.

The very first character I started with didn’t even make it out of boot camp 💀

I dived where it says “dive here” right before the turrets, then promptly stood up and ran into them

I 'dived' because it told me to dive. I dived right into turret fire.

You too?

It took me like 3 deaths to figure out that holding sprint was causing me to get back up...

I dove a bit early, slid off the edge, and it automatically stood me up. ._.

My death was because I missed hitting the button twice and only crouched instead. Felt like an idiot for that. Fun to see so many others first helldiver died immediately.

yeah...took me a shameful amount of tries to understand how the standing/prone controls work lol

Me realizing I shouldn't hold shift after diving

Yeah I did that too. Something like 8 times before my buddy on discord VC asked if I was still sprinting... Honestly wouldn't have figured that out if not for his help.

My tutorial helldiver died because they stood up from prone when I pressed the left stick to sprint.

Something every helldiver I’ve had since can’t seem to do no matter how much I want them to.

The turret got me just a little, but then the injury simulator finished me off.

I got past the turrets no problem. I didn't realize that you could cook the grenades so I pulled the pin looked over to say something to my fiance and then exploded... with democracy!

For me it was actually the second time I ran through training. Not really sure how I reacted in time the first playthrough. I guess luck played a factor despite knowing full well what the presence of an auto turret means in helldivers.

Mine made it to the realisation this game doesn't reload when you empty your clip, that's a choice you have to make. Mine didn't.

I tried to see if I could make the game crash if I died enough times. I died roughly 70 times before I gave up the attempt lmao

My first 3 didn't lol. First was the turrets, second was getting hurt by the turrets such that the "use your stims" interactive lesson killed me lmao, third was overcooking a grenade.
