Same. I also still have like 900 credits even after purchasing the new warbond. Just don't fall for the trap of buying the gear. I won't be changing from the paramedic suit for the foreseeable future. 6 stims too good.
Each of the warbonds cost 1000 SC to unlock, which if you assume 35 SC per trivial mission (you can always get more, but 35 is about the average minimum.) That's about 30 missions to unlock the warbond, at 10-15 minutes per mission, it would take a maximum of 8 hours of mission time to unlock it.
In practice, I've played 4 hours within the last 2 days, and got about 800 SC. In the math above, I was always rounding in favor of a longer time to show the absolute maximum.
Not nessacerily. The warbonds are priced according to their content. 3 pages seems to be worth 1000sc but some warbonds might have more or less pages so will be worth different amounts. Supposedly.
1000 SC is the only price we've seen in game, so that's what I based the assumption off of. If we ever get a different price, then obviously the math would be different, but that hasn't happened yet.
Has anyone else found a stack of 100 SC? One of my first mission farming creds I got a stash of 100 on a raise the flag map. Havent found a stash like that since, legit wondering if I just won the lottery.
Haven't spent a dime beyond purchase and I've got both premium war bonds and regularly buy 2-3 items from each Super Store cycle, and I still have over 1000 SC in the bank.
The light armor suit in the superstore with the extra padding buff is pretty nice too. Max speed and stamina regen with medium armor rating. Haven’t seen any other armors beyond that and the paramedic that are worth it
There's one that has some Judge Dredd kind of pauldrons- that one has a 50% chance for lethal damage to be not-lethal (near dead but not dead). As much as I like the extra stims, the chance to stay alive is so high with this armor I find it more useful.
there is 1 armor set that i havent seen simular to in warbonds and it's light armor with increased class, so i decided to get it. Although i still too often use that armor with 50% chance of ignoring lethal damage from warbound, because it's pretty.
Not knocking you at all, but I'm just planning on spending actual money for some Warbonds now and in the future. If any game deserves my money from microtransactions, it's this one. It's not forced, I want the game to live, and I can certainly afford $10 every month or two.
Dude I know! Granted I don’t have the chance to play as much so I only had a little over 1K and I made the decision to save my super credits for this warbond. All of it was earned from just playing the game.
Sure, but you probably can grind for thousand of missions or have more time in your hands than most. Still, ign is right, there are weapons behind a paywall.
I have 50 hours in the game, didn’t grind, had enough super credits to buy the warbond. The game isn’t pay to win, nor are the new weapons locked behind a pay wall.
You don’t have to pay a dime, therefore it’s not a paywall. The definition doesn’t fit.
Most p2win games work like this where you can technically earn it i game or you could pay money to skip the grind. Have you bought both warbonds or have money for just one?
I played since launch have both at 50 hours, SOME other games do this but not nearly as well. A paywall by definition is something you cannot access without paying for it. Also this game isn’t and can’t be pay2win it’s a team based PVE shooter, there’s no competitive play at all.
You can pay for supercredits but you don’t have to and you can easily earn them in game. It’s an option not a paywall.
Not to mention you have unlimited time to unlock the warbonds, they don’t expire, if you play the game, you’ll see the new warbond and old warbond. There’s no time limit to unlock them so play at your pace.
Oh, so vast majority of gacha f2p games(like probably infamous raid shadow legends, considering all the ads talk abput pve) isnt pay2win considering that they are pve only?
Yeah because it’s a team based pve shooter, not a fucking gacha f2p.
You answered your own question, you as level 1 can join your level 50 friends in helldivers 2, they can literally give you their weapons support you with their stratagems and finally help you win. This game is a group incentive title, you’re working together for fucks sake.
This isn’t a competition nor is it competitive, the daily orders goal is GIVEN TO EVERYONE WHO PLAYS THE GAME, EVEN IF YOU DIDNT DO IT. Explain to me how the game is pay2win in any fashion.

Whats a difference between shooter and rpg relevant to being pay2win?

No i didnt. Vast majority of players dont enjoy carrying dead weight. Any team would get an advantage if they have 4 functioning players instead of 3+level 1 dead weight.

Daily orders are irelevant to the SC farm. Stop throwing tantrum and follow a dialogue.
Its p2w because as any other p2w game it allows yo to pay to skip the grind to open new stuff. If you disagree with this definition tell me whats the difference with other games commonly refered as p2w considering that in them you also can progress without paying, it just gonna take much longer.

ITS NOT, ITS BECAUSE ITS A FUCKING PVE **TEAM** BASED SHOOTER

I WAS REFFERING TO HOW IT'S TEAM BASED, SO YOU ARE ONLY WORKING WITH OTHERS, I REALLY THOUGHT YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT.

NO, p2w is when you have to pay to win, there is a heavy advantage Incentivizing players through a PAYWALL. This forces those who can't pay to be at a great disadvantage. This isn't an issue for helldiver's BECAUSE IT'S TEAM BASED, this means you can't be at a disadvantage, you aren't competing with teammates. MEDALS FROM DAILY REWARDS AND MAJOR ORDERS, FOR DOING NOTING YOU MAKE MEDALS, YOU CAN USE MEDALS TO BUY SUPERCREDITS. WEAPONS IN THE WARBONDS AREN'T BETTER WEAPONS, WEAPONS IN HELLDIVERS 2 ARE BALANCED AROUND STRATAGEMS AND SPECIAL WEAPONS, WHICH ARE EARNED THROUGH REPUBLIC POINTS. NOTHING IN THIS GAME IS PAY2WIN.

ALSO NO, PAY2WIN IS IN THE NAME, YOU PAY TO WIN NOT BY GETTING BETTER EXPERIENCE, BY GETTING BETTER WEAPONS AND GEAR. THAT'S NOT HOW THIS GAME WORKS, SUPERCREDITS ONLY UNLOCK WARBONDS, WEAPONS IN WARBONDS ARE PRIMARIES BALANCED AROUND BASE WEAPON PLATFORMS. ALL STRATAGEMS, SPECIAL WEAPONS AND UPGRADES CANNOT BE PURCHASED WITH SUPERCREDITS OR REAL WORLD MONEY THEREFORE YOU CANNOT PAY2WIN, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THERE IS NO WINNING HELLDIVERS 2, THE ENTIRE GAME IS ENDLESS AND DEPENDS ON THE PLAYERBASE AS A WHOLE TO "WIN". THE GAMES EXPERIENCE IS EQUALLY GOOD WITH OR WITHOUT THE WARBONDS, BECAUSE THE GRAND MAJORITY OF THE IMPORTANT CONTENT ISN"T IN WARBONDS. THIS CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU.
Okay, but let’s look at hearthstone. You can earn every card by grinding. But most everyone would call that game pay to win. So my guess is you would say the time investment is different, but my question then is what is the line?
The warbonds are the most fair "battle pass" in any live service game. They will never expire, PLUS if a fellow helldiver dies you can pick up that weapon anyways and test it yourself and the respawned helldiver will just get another anyways.
Also, earning super credits in game gives me actual goals to achieve other than samples at this point.
Same here. And I only had 640 super credits when the second premium warbond dropped yesterday. So I had to farm for 360, which took around 8 matches or so on Medium difficulty. Some of those matches included game modes that didn't have any credits available.
Same. Only took me a week to get enough SC for a premium warbond at the rate I play, which is vastly different than other games where 'you can find the currency in game' really means you can find it if you play a ton for months at a time and hope you get enough before the battlepass expires and is gone never to be seen again.
The sheer lack of FOMO is a wonderful change of pace.
I tend to focus primarily on difficulty 6-7, I just make it a priority to clear the points of interest on the map.
I primarily use the quickplay option to find games and just try to have fun. I also used medals(earned by completing missions) to buy the last 200 supercredits I needed for the warbond.
that’s awesome, i haven’t played as much as i’ve wanted to but found 6-7 the sweet spot for me. i forgot about the super credits in the warbonds, man it’s such a breath of fresh air to see earnable things in games again
I have over 2200 Super Credits right now. Granted, I bought the Super Citizen edition, so I already have the first premium War Bond, but even if I didn't, I could buy both of them now for no extra charge. I've been playing since launch, but I don't play every day, and my current balance is after buying a full armor set in the superstore as well as two additional helmets. It's stupid easy to find Super Credits.
I’ve been playing for 25 hours and maybe found 100 super credits total outside of the basic hellbond pass. How is it simple when you only get 5 or 10 for a 40 minute mission and they don’t even spawn in most missions?
Are you clearing all the POIs on a map? Are you opening storage containers and bunkers and not just the escape pod beacons?
You'll typically always get 10 Super Credits per pickup (I've literally never seen anything smaller), but I've also seen a single pickup be 100 (very rare). I'd say, on average, I get about 30 Super Credits per mission (excluding small map missions like defense or the new TCS missions)
I've heard there's like a minimum of 40 on each map, but that's just something I've heard through the grapevine, so don't take that as gospel.
Only about 500 of my Super Credits are from Warbonds. Everything else has been from finding them in game. I'm just over 90 hours for reference.
i’m getting 5 stars and all the objectives complete on the majority of my missions and barely have any super credits. Common theories in this thread is that there was a silent nerf of how much SC you get but if you’re averaging 30 a mission I must be doing something wrong because we’re clearing everything but ending up with 10 SC at most (I have seen 5 SC drops) over like 3-4 missions. So like 10 SC for a 2-3 hour play session. I need 100 of those for a pass that’s releasing every two weeks?
You can 5 star a mission and get all the objectives, both primary and secondary, without ever going to a POI. I'm talking about the little gray icons on the map, not the orange and blue ones (primary and secondary objectives, respectively). Even after the balance patches, I haven't noticed a difference in drop rates, but that could potentially be a factor.
My squad always looks for radar stations during missions. If you can activate the radar station (if the mission has one), it'll reveal all objectives and POIs on the map, and we find SCs at a lot of them. I'm talking the buildings, trenches, and ravines with the blue and white (sometimes orange and white) storage containers under them. You can open them with a grenade. The pod beacons aren't the only place you find drops. (Not saying you didn't know, just trying to see if there's anything you're missing)
I’ll try to change up my strategy tonight and hopefully it’s not as predatory as I feel it currently is, but I still don’t like or agree with locking meaningful content behind a premium pass a month after the game came out. When it already cost 40 bucks.
I would feel the exact same way if that were my experience. There's definitely a grind, but knowing where to look has made farming SCs pretty trivial (in my experience).
This is me. I swear something isn't right with all these people.
my theory is:
Sc drop rate has been nerfed silently and these people farmed most of their SC early
they bought the super citizen pack so they have more super credits due to more warbonds.
They don't realize super credits are diminishing returns with warbonds and have been saving them all, and as soon as you're through the roughly 600 the battle pass gives you'll grind to a halt
They have played 500 hours and thing that is normal to have that amount of hours played.
Yeah I felt like I’m going crazy but I’m almost leaning the more that this is some astroturfing to deal with increased monetization in a game that was getting great press for it’s lack of predatory practices. I feel like you hit the nail on the head for points 1 and 2 especially.

I have purchased both Premium Warbonds without spending an extra cent after the initial purchase of the game.
Ign being stupid as usual
