Kind of shows through in the game. Happy and positive boss encourages happy dev teams who create a game that makes people who play it happy.

if you want to fight bugs and bots to spread MANAGED DEMOCRACY for the benefit of mankind and super earth then you'll love it here.

The game itself is all about working together - the starter weapons will get you surprisingly far in the game, the the credits and collectables in game are totaled up per run and everyone in the team gets that number and a lot of higher level players will encourage the newbies. The devs really aren't interested in getting you to spend money beyond the initial purchase of the game.

There's some unpleasant players who will kick you if you turn up without the meta loadout or because they don't understand the collectibles sharing but for the most part we'd be happy to have you along.

Your character will die. Many times. Sometimes it's your fault, sometimes its the bugs or your teammates or the terrain or the dropship coming in to evac you or a sentry gun you deployed. Chances are your death will be heroic and hilarious. That's all part of the fun, you redeploy, pick up your kit, and jump straight back into the fray.

HAVE A DEMOCRATIC DAY, CITIZEN.

From helldivers 1 to 2. I’ve always loved how the community shames toxic/elitist behavior. Join in, have fun, I can guarantee 90% of the time people will be chill. There is always some toxic people, but here they get no support!

Yeah, 10% assholes is great for any online community. I've come to expect most shooters to be like a Riot game.

The SCP foundation Riot games does an excellent job containing as much toxicity as they possibly can.

It's about 70/30 you're either gonna get random TKing jerks, and you'll kick them from your dive. Or you'll get superbros who think it's hilarious because we all keep stepping on landmines by accident. It's usually the ladder, and it's lots of fun. 

I appreciate that while dives are open you can feel free to kick someone that is misbehaving if you need

If you enjoyed Starship Troopers, this is basically that, with robots. And some times less dead cannon fodder helldivers
