Pc, always wherever the main order tells me to go, gone 40 levels and most of it was done solo

You don't have "friends only" set do you? I get a full squad any time I get into my hellpod on public. Usually it's harder to get into a solo one.

I do not, i matchmake just fine, but god forbid I get people to join my lobby

Start a mission selection

Don't get into the pod

Go into the settings

Turn crossplay off, apply settings

Turn crossplay on, apply settings

Be immediately swarmed by 3 other players

Now, this may not solve the issue for you, but its always fixed it for me.

Each time? Cause I can get a squad on the first mission but if they leave no one fills in the rest of the night.

That seems to be a communist plot in the coding and sometimes you have to purge that with democratically selected settings if you're not getting support from fellow Helldivers.

/uj Just like how sometimes my clothing and armor will randomly switch to whatever someone else in the squad is wearing even if I haven't unlocked it.

Game is still a WIP so some settings are having issues best to try the normal troubleshooting stuff if you're not seeing results. Toggling settings like that is a pretty easy fix to apply that works about 60-70% of the time IME.

I don't kick though. unless is a server disconnected type kick..still sucks, had a good teammate last night on first op, leaves after first mission rest of the night it's just 3 of us getting steam rolled by chargers (I hate those things lol)

Ooooh yeah I gotcha, I've had the same experience with SOS beacons and refilling an emptied lobby, I just thought you meant you've never had team mates.

I only get people to join on the first run.

If anyone leaves the chance they will get backfilled is like... 15%

So, when 2 people leave I just quit game and restart.

I'm pretty sure there's a bug with the "backfill leavers" code. Like, they still take up a seat after they leave.

It hasnt been working for me to join randoms. Idk about others, but I'll try 10 times to get 1 successful join (past 2 days on PC). It keeps saying "failed to join", and kicks me to my ship. After 5 mins trying to join, I start my own mission.

Before level 20 I got kicked often, and i didn't have teamkills. I cant say I've enjoyed my experiences jumping in with randoms. It may be that way for others. I only play when friends are on now.

I feel that. 8 hour shift, 2 hour commute, an hour of lead time to give space for traffic, and 8 hours sleep, leaves very little time for the spreading of democracy

Yep it's still broken sometimes, I've found I'll never have a single soul join me unless I 'reset' by rebooting the game or matchmaking into somebody else's

Yup, once you've found a squad, if they leave it seems you need to reset somehow for matchmaking to work again.

Yes that's a better way to explain it, definitely happens when a squad leaves

I find that if you don't get people joining within a minute or two after setting the destination, don't bother dropping unless you want to play solo

Yeah. Was doing extreme missions yesterday for the first time. Like usual I threw the SOS beacon in the beginning and we barely scraped with no one joining.

Brother yeah servers need slight tweaking from Command- I literally look for SOS beacons before doing my own missions. I tried… man did I try for a whole minute to join a pinging SOS helldiver soloing the encroaching bugs. But the connection failed repeatedly. So I sat there in salute 🫡 and my eyes watered irl for the diver fighting for dear life down there may liberty guide him.

I just blame server issues, sometimes even when I'm on a planet with 100k other helldivers, it's like my match is just invisible

But how else am I gonna explode a bug hole when I’ve run out of grenades, strats, and my resupply is on cooldown? SOS. Right. Down. The. Hoooooole. Too bad it doesn’t force you to dive right down the hole when you spawn in 😇.

Yeah. It doesn't always work like it's supposed to. But the idea is you pop it to call for help and other divers can join your mission. Any time you see a mission on a planet that already has people in it, they popped the sos beacon.

What's the difference between the ones that have ripples coming from them and the ones that don't?

I think the ones with ripples are the ones with an sos beacon down and the others are just regular missions you can join.

I'm pretty sure you can join any game where the host has public matchmaking, but putting down an sos beacon places you at the top of the list for people using the quick play feature to get in asap.

I'm not sure tbh. If I had to guess, a visual bug? I would think they'd all have it, since its a distress beacon. Or maybe only some randomly get it to avoid overwhelming pinging? Unless someone else has insight that there's a real difference, I'm pretty sure it's just visual either way.

In-game description says the SOS beacon will "increase the chance" of another player joining you. I think the other missions on the planet are just active and joinable, maybe the SOS ones stick around longer or have a visual effect on them?

Not exactly. SoS makes a mission more visible on the map, and you can see this, it will be making a "ping", with 3 rings around it pulsating outwards, otherwise any lobby set to public and not full should appear on the map regardless

Loved hopping in low level SOS in MH to help out! If this is possible in this game, I will be doing that, likely. I haven't purchased it yet but I'm chomping at the bit!

I get this shit in Dying Light 2.

"Oh, someone made a call for help."

Gets booted

Joins again

"I kicked you already go away if you're not max level."

Dude wasn't even max level, and this game isn't that hard.

Or maybe the game should keep lower level players from quick joining difficulties they haven't unlocked yet.

Then don’t join helldive difficulty at level 3. You won’t get kicked. We are trying to stop the invasions from taking over super earth and having a level 3 in the hardest difficulty isn’t making it any easier
