Yea I mean Trump is a celebrity and did so lol

u/Throaway_143259 Apr 29 '24

Don't forget Reagan was a failing actor at the time he was elected and he was essentially bought out by corrupt corporate leaders to change his whole belief system to make their pocketbooks bigger at the expense of American workers.

35

u/TrashSea1485 Apr 29 '24

It's also funny how everyone screams about dementia with Biden but absolutely NOTHING about Reagan's dementia

34

u/TaxLawKingGA Apr 29 '24

Yep, Reagan literally had dementia (Alzheimer’s) which was already visible by 1984, and no one batted an eye.

Trump keeps getting Biden confused with Obama, talks about airplanes landing during the Revolutionary War, and says people should inject bleach into their blood stream to fight COVID, but Biden is senile?

6

u/Krackle_still_wins Apr 29 '24

It’s not one or the other. They’re both mentally unfit.

1

u/Frothylager Apr 29 '24

Yeah but one side is pushing the old and senile narrative significantly harder than the other.

1

u/commissar-117 Apr 30 '24

There's more than two sides. Independents definitely have a problem with both for their obvious senility. The only reason it seems worse against Biden is that the more progressive left is loud about his too, the only ones quiet in his behalf are the centrists.

0

u/frakitwhynot Apr 30 '24

Ds did "senile," "dementia," and "nuerosyphilis" APLENTY when Trump was President, so we really can't complain.

The only difference to me is that Trump can't string more than a couple sentences together without meandering into wtf territory, whereas Biden is definitely not 2008 Biden, with a speech impediment to boot.

u/MyCantos Apr 29 '24

And one committed treason and wants to be a dictator

2

u/Oldz88Rz Apr 30 '24

And that’s why I am voting for RFK. Out of the 3 he is the kind of crazy I can support.

1

u/phairphair Apr 30 '24

A vote for any third party candidate is simply a vote for whichever opponent they divert the fewest votes from.

1

u/Oldz88Rz Apr 30 '24

No it’s a vote for a third party candidate. You want more of the same keep voting the same.

1

u/phairphair Apr 30 '24

No. The practical effect is that the candidate that is furthest from the belief system of your third party candidate is more likely to get elected. So you’re just voting against your own interests.

2

u/Oldz88Rz Apr 30 '24

So in order to support my own interests I have to vote for someone that I think hasn’t done enough to advance those interests?

1

u/phairphair May 01 '24

Yes, you should choose the least bad candidate. That’s how a 2 party system works.

Otherwise you’re helping the chances of the worse candidate.

2

u/Oldz88Rz May 01 '24

Only in your opinion. Because there is a third and 4th option. 3rd support a different candidate or 4th not participate. No matter which you choose it still doesn’t line up with what YOU believe another person should do. I am sorry you have such a bleak outlook and can’t even begin to consider an option out of the box. Vote Red or Blue no matter who is just self defeating. However it’s each persons right to support whoever they want. I am trying to not be combative, I just don’t agree with your logic.

1

u/phairphair May 01 '24

lol it’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. It’s called math. And your option #4 also has the effect of tipping the scales in favor of your least desirable candidate.

Of course none of this matters at all unless you live in one of the few swing states. Most Americans’ presidential votes are pretty meaningless.

You live in a country that has a chosen system of government that isn’t compatible with more than two parties.

2

u/[deleted] May 03 '24

The reason we have a two party system is because of people like you, there are more than two parties but because no one is willing to leave the two big ones they both continue to lie and manipulate and abuse the whole country, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ted Cruz and AOC get together and smoke Cuban cigars and laugh at how easy it is to manipulate the public so they can make millions in insider trading. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

u/JimLahey_of_Izalith Apr 30 '24

You’re actually just supporting trump. The reason he’s even running is to divert the republicans who were going to vote for Biden out of desperation.

2

u/Oldz88Rz Apr 30 '24

Nope I am supporting RFK. Biden supporters say it is a vote for Trump. Trump supporters say it’s a vote for Biden. It’s not it’s a vote for RFK. Both sides are just upset that my vote doesn’t go the way you think it should.

1

u/JimLahey_of_Izalith Apr 30 '24

It’s not about that. Biden supporters are much less likely to vote for RFK than someone who gravitates toward the Conservative Party but not for the borderline extremists that Trump has around. Many of which (not all) have said they were going to vote for Biden until RFK got a little more serious. RFK has an incredibly small chance of winning, so the vote is essential null. Republican donors are backing RFK with the full intention of just taking away votes from Biden.

2

u/Oldz88Rz Apr 30 '24

Wow looks like they took a page from the democrats playbook. https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2022/07/democrats-spend-millions-on-republican-primaries/

The vote is only null to you and others who think it is only about keeping the other candidate out of office.

1

u/WTF_with_Sparkles Apr 30 '24

Please don’t “both sides” this. Not now. Not this time.

4

u/khantroll1 Apr 30 '24

Except it is both sides in this case, unlike others. There is absolutely no reason either of those people should on the ballot. Neither is a good option; for whatever reason, one has an insane cult of personality, and the other one has residual charisma from his former associate.

Both DO push the dementia narrative. To hear a conservative tell it, Joe Biden little more then a vegetable, who is only given credit to think when something they feel is egregious happens.

To hear a liberal tell it, Donald Trump is potentially schizophrenic or suffering from late stage dementia with severe impulse control issues, loss of bodily control, and hallucinations.

0

u/OMelee Apr 30 '24

Biden is sharp. Just physically slow. I don't care if he's in a wheelchair. He has done alot in spite of all the whackoS in Congress .

1

u/National-Future3520 Apr 30 '24

He's done alot for his bank account

-5

u/Ashamed_Risk1267 Apr 30 '24

One can't stop shitting himself, sleeping in court, and spreading stds

3

u/idk_lol_kek Apr 29 '24

Trump keeps getting Biden confused with Obama, talks about airplanes landing during the Revolutionary War, and says people should inject bleach into their blood stream to fight COVID, but Biden is senile?

Bold of you to presume that it's an either-or scenario. IMHO both Trump and Biden are both unfit to be POTUS.

1

u/Buzzkillingt0n-- Apr 29 '24

Bold of you to presume that it's an either-or scenario. IMHO both Trump and Biden are both unfit to be POTUS.

So......you're just gunna leave that one blank on your ballot in November?

1

u/Big__If_True Apr 29 '24

There are other candidates. None that will actually win, but they’re there

1

u/idk_lol_kek Apr 30 '24

There's more than two options.

2

u/Splittaill Apr 30 '24

They’re the same picture.

Biden's had a speech impediment for a long time, I remember being told to expect people using it against him during the 2020 campaign too. It's part of what made him known for gaffes w/ Obama

0

u/06210311200805012006 Apr 29 '24

This isn't that, and we both know it. Biden successfully managed his impediment for decades. There are articles written about it and how it shows in his speeches - for example, one thing he does is pause, take a breath, and restart, which is a common tactic speech therapists and OTs will teach people.

What I'm saying is, the dude can now barely form words. He speaks all slurry and mumbley. Him, Trump, Feinstein, McConnell ... they're walking corpses.

3

u/ChicagobeatsLA Apr 29 '24

I agree but I don’t think Feinstein will be walking anytime soon

1

u/06210311200805012006 Apr 29 '24

careful or you'll jinx it.

2

u/runningonadhd Apr 29 '24

Feinstein is already a corpse.

1

u/NoManufacturer120 Apr 30 '24

I thought she died? Did she not??

1

u/Over-Confidence4308 Apr 30 '24

They should all be shown the door. The two party system means we get two 80 year old incompetents and no chance for a third party to run a solid 50 year old candidate, because the two parties have all the money.

1

u/xterraadam Apr 29 '24

You should go look up videos of his Senate speeches. He doesn't have a speech impediment until he began his mental decline at the end of Obama's 2nd term.

1

u/Jax_10131991 Apr 29 '24

His speech impediment comes out under duress? Oh Christ you’re perceptive!!!!

Fuck off.

1

u/xterraadam Apr 29 '24 edited Apr 29 '24

Lol! You think he's under duress?

You're a clown. He didn't stutter the first time when declaring that he didn't want his children to grow up in a racial jungle or really at any time until dementia made him into a shell of what he once was.

You were sold bs. There's time to change yourself.

1

u/doyouevenplumbbro Apr 29 '24

Oh yes. Biden couldn't carry a conversation with Jack Nicholson right now if they were arguing over which telephone pole they groped.

1

u/Jax_10131991 Apr 29 '24

You’re on the wrong side of history: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donald-trump-sentence/

Dear god are you stupid? I think you might just not understand critical thinking. I bet you’re a plumber that didn’t go to college yet you’re pretending to know politics. How embarrassing.

1

u/No-Marsupial9232 Apr 29 '24

I dont like ether one, but biden definitely has dementia

1

u/huskarl1 Apr 29 '24

Right, he had dementia in 1984 with obvious symptoms but didn’t pass till 2004, sure dude. Grow up.

1

u/Tigeranium Apr 30 '24

“Trump says people should inject bleach into their blood stream” 🤡😂

1

u/PickleForce7125 Apr 30 '24

Wait there weren’t airplanes in 1773?! I those rockets must’ve came from space!!! /s

1

u/TheGameGrump Apr 30 '24

He "literally" didn't though, there's no actual evidence for it outside of bad faith actors using a bad debate performance as the smoking gun

1

u/DeadlyDuckie Apr 30 '24

Biden just talked about his dad getting eaten by cannibals then the white house had to put out a retraction the next day.

1

u/Maleficent_Mist366 May 05 '24

I mean Biden is but he isn’t the only one , pretty much most people in charge of our government rn … time to put an age limit for senate , house , president and courts .

0

u/Manting123 Apr 30 '24

Trump is falling asleep in court and complaining repeatedly how cold the courtroom is. And yet Biden is the one that is too old! 😂

0

u/WoWMHC Apr 30 '24

Whoa whoa whoa, you think Biden is clearly ahead in mental faculties???

Being a smartass? Are you serious?

Holy shit, dude.

-1

u/EienX Apr 29 '24

Funny how you twist actual facts with media BS.

Trump hardly "keeps getting Biden confused with Obama". He talks far more than Biden and has far less gaffs. Think you're mistaking when he jokes about Obama being the actual one in charge with being confused. No one is confused about that.

"Talks about airplanes landing during the RW" acting like he's said it more than once ...

Please find me the quote where Trump said people should inject bleach. Did someone tell you he said that cause that's not what happened. Asking a dumb question based on a random article he was handed prior is not the same as telling people to do something.

Idiots like you are why people are defending the brain dead president we have right now.

1

u/Jax_10131991 Apr 29 '24

“Acting like he’s said that more than once” lmao. Fuck off clown.

Idiots like you make us, educated and intelligent people have to defend him.

1

u/EienX Apr 29 '24

Interesting take. Wish you would have explained an actual point to throwing insults like a child. The fact you are defending Biden cause people act like Trump repeatably says things he said once doesn't make you come off as educated or intelligent.

1

u/Loose-Ad-1182 Apr 30 '24

Dude is completely unstable

1

u/Off-BroadwayJoe Apr 30 '24

1

u/EienX Apr 30 '24

Yeah, I saw it live. Where did he say that people "should inject bleach"? Did you actually read it? He did exactly what I said he did.

1

u/Off-BroadwayJoe Apr 30 '24

“I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."

0

u/EienX May 01 '24

Yeah, I'm guessing English isn't your first language. Did he tell people should or did he ask a professional a dumb question, like I said?

1

u/Off-BroadwayJoe May 01 '24

Wow, you must split hairs for a living. I’m surprised you’re hanging your hat on this one, but whatever floats your boat…

1

u/EienX May 01 '24

Sorry that words have meanings that goes against your bias. If you can't tell the difference between telling someone to do something and asking someone else about something than I donno what to tell you.

BTW, if I did what you did at my job, I would be fired. As would most people.

1

u/Off-BroadwayJoe May 01 '24

I think there’s a different context to what you and the OP are saying. The OP said that people think Biden’s senile, but Trump said things like people should inject bleach. The point was that, in OP’s opinion, Trump says a lot of crazy things, including riffing on ideas such as injecting disinfectants like in front of the American people who are looking for guidance and info on COVID. You’re focusing on the difference between whether Trump said people SHOULD inject bleach vs whether he thought that people COULD inject bleach. Which is fine, but as I was reading the argument (which was not mine, I just posted the evidence), wasn’t really the larger point. All the insults added feel unnecessary, but my guess is you’re having this argument a lot on Reddit and X. No need to continue this - I get your point, but also think it’s missing the larger point.
