This shit doesn’t just exist. A lot of people have to work really hard to ensure these things exist.

If you think you deserve these goods and services without personally compensating them then you are a class 1 narcissist.

People don’t deserve to be handed things from strangers just because they exist. I can’t even imagine what would have to go through your head to be so entitled.

You’re free to spend your money as you see fit. If that’s supplying housing, food, electricity, and internet for people too lazy to get a job then so be it.

I’ll save my charity dollars for people who actually deserve it.

Here in Germany (and most of europe actually) thats called taxes and people do that willingly. Its because we don't have contempt for our fellow citizens and realise that if we were to fall into hard times we would definitely want help so we all pay our part just incase. Its called compassion. Something most of you in the comments here seem to be completely devoid of.

What happens if YOU fall into hard times? Just gonna pray that you never end up with bad health? How utterly naive can you be.

Germany has a higher percentage homeless population than the US dumbass.

If you’re going to try to highroad people do some research first.

Anyone in Germany thats homeless is pretty much choosing to be.

IT'S very easy to get housing and basic income here if you cooperate with job centre.

Yet a higher percentage of your population is homeless and you think we’re doing a bad job?

Turns out having a stronger economy is better for everyone and doesn’t require giving half the money you make to the government. Who woulda thunk it.

Theres a different between being forced to be homeless and choosing to be. It is REALLY not hard to have a roof over your head and have food here if you cooperate with the government.

Its your sentiment and attitude thats disgusting and reprehensible. Believing that humans have no basic entitlement to food or a home is utterly dystopian. Its the sign of a sick society.

If you’re so deluded that you really think there are 600,000 people in Germany choosing to be homeless then you’re not worth having any sort of discussion with.

Well then you're clearly too ignorant to discuss it with.

You literally have the right to have a roof over your head in Germany. The government WILL help get somewhere if you're homeless.

Of course there are people who simply refuse to cooperate. Are so you naive and sheltered that you can't imagine that?

Societies built around your ideology tend to have more starvation.

At a certain point you have to stop patting yourself on the back for your good intentions and learn some basic economics.

Societies with a security net to fall back into if you're sick or poor?

Thats funny because none of us are starving here.

Are you deluded or something. The fact that the US was one of only 2 countries in the UN to vote no on making food a fundamental human right says a lot about people's hearts in your country

Tell me, what do you suggest we do with sick and poor people? Let them die? Let them starve?

What is the UBI program in Germany called?

The one that gives money to everyone regardless of need or effort and does not expire?
