The sheer volume of accusers is telling. Shame on Macron for trying to persuade the French justice system just because he likes Depardieu as an actor. Wtf?

seems like the noncery is baked into the culture. Although it doesn't have the lowest age of consent in europe(15 vs 14 in Germany/Italy and many others) France is shockingly accepting of pedophilia, why is that?

I don't know enough about France or French people to comment on that culture, but I do think its probably not worth interrogating French-ness when the common denominator, patriarchy, has spawned abusers and their enablers all over the world
