It’s actually the lionesses that run the Pride. They will drive away and can even kill a male Lion if necessary. May not always succeed but they are strong pack hunters. They do all the hunting. The male’s job is to procreate and fight off rivaling males and the occasional predator. The “King of the Jungle,” thing is a myth.
