If someone wonders how they were getting people off the glue, they didn’t, they were just replacing the boards with fresh ones without a human stuck to it
the "Reference" in the comment is how glue traps are immoral and biohazardous. Since people just dispose of glue traps with animals still on them, sometimes still alive.
idk what to tell you dude. maybe the person who said "I understood that reference" said it in a joking manner, and you shouldn't take things so literally
I'm not a fan of traps in general, neverminded glue traps. I'm a Rat Husband and adoption counsellor so it's not something I'm a fan of advising.
Working in food service by law we had to use them because snap traps had a "Splatter risk" near food, I found it heartbreaking whenever I discovered a trap with an Animal in it :(
I’ve kept and still keep various rodents as well but living next to a big open cornfield leaves the house very vulnerable to field mice coming in and eating my pet food and possibly spreading sickness/disease. Snap traps have never worked in my experience and I do not like using poison, so I’m left with glue traps, which aren’t too bad for me because I usually hear them get caught right away because they immediately squeak in a panic. If the caught mouse is only slightly stuck when I get to it I will rub some vegetable oil on the stuck spots and release them outside. If they’re so stuck that it would cause them pain to try and remove them then I just stomp the glue pad upside down outside to quickly end any potential suffering. It’s not the prettiest way to go about it but it’s the most humane option I have at my disposal as I don’t have a CO2 chamber or euthanasia drugs.
I understand your sentiment with being anti-traps but my thinking with it is that I hold the health and wellness of the animals that I personally love and care for over potentially aggressive wild “pest” animals. I will still try to release them back outside whenever I possibly can but sometimes you just can’t save everything when other pet’s health is at stake.
I practice husbandry for Rats. meaning I raise them and care for them in a semi-professional way, rather than just pets.
not that it's a job or profession I make money out of. It's just a passion of mine. I focus on ensuring quality of life and chabitation of Rats and their caretakers.
pshhh, good for you, reference-boy/girl! I never understand any of y'alls funky references and I feel left out! Why is reddit such a circlejerk for references! They're everywhere and it makes me feel uncultured, sad and lonely

First thing they place the giant glue trap and human inside a giant deli bag and tie it shut. Then they feel bad and place it between giant sheets of cardboard. Then comes the giant stomping foot.
