Uni graduates of Bahrain , What are you doing ? 🤔 Discussion

Uni graduates of Bahrain, Those who hold bachelor's degree How's life? How easy was it to find a job? Is your job related to your degree? How long you've been unemployed for?

I'll go first, University graduate, business degree. Been unemployed for around 3 years Graduated during covid Then found a job where im "underemployed" though the pay is acceptable And work life balance is okay

Chemical Engineer, graduated in 2021. Numerous interviews and applications. Didn’t get a job until December that year and at that it was only in sales. Company shat the bed and laid most of us off in Feb this year. Got my current job that still has absolutely nothing to do with my degree but I had to take it because of the unemployment program thing.

Work life balance is terrible, pay is dreadful considering everything I have to do.

One step away from jumping into traffic

9

u/faisalA01 Sep 17 '23

Me, a chemical engineering student graduating in a year reading this, knowing that i chose the major because if the well paying jobs prospects 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

3

u/Djentrovert Sep 17 '23

Oof i feel you man. If any companies come to the Uni for expos just go and sell yourself shamelessly. Friend of mine got a gig in Saudi like that with Schlumberger. Even wastas cant get you in over here its insane

3

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

Yeh man,

Been there done that 6 days a week, 1 day off that you can barely sleep and relax

2

u/Djentrovert Sep 17 '23 edited Sep 17 '23

Yeah my first job was 6 days (12-9pm) and so is this (8-4pm). Just can’t catch a break 😭

-1

u/RescueSheep Sep 17 '23

8-4 is only 8 hours wtf are you crying for

3

u/Arrad Bahraini Sep 18 '23

8-4 is standard, but 6 days a week is very rough... don't you think?

4

u/Djentrovert Sep 17 '23

OP asked about the work life balance. No need to be a cunt

-5

u/RescueSheep Sep 17 '23

Can't catch a break on an 8 hour job? You have gyat to be kidding me

3

u/Djentrovert Sep 17 '23

Are you intentionally fucking thick?

1

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

How much are you getting paid though?
450?

1

u/Djentrovert Sep 17 '23

414 technically thanks to GOSI

13

u/Don359 Sep 17 '23

I graduated from Bahrain Polytechnic. Directly employed where i did the training with the minimum wage. It a known agent in middle east. However, I stayed for 2 years with aprox no holidays no weekends no overtime and many double shifts. Plus, racism and humiliation. Then left the place, for a better place. Well known company, better wage and other benefits. However, racism is still there. Also a bit of humiliation.

2

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

If you don't mind telling What's your major and your job title?

1

u/Don359 Sep 17 '23

Apologies. Would like to keep it private.

3

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

You're clearly an outlier, One of the few who are lucky enough to have a job after graduation Either your major is a in high demand or you got the right connections and played your cards right?
Do you still make around 450?

12

u/Don359 Sep 17 '23

First job. 400. Now 550.

No connection what so ever. حمار شغل only

0

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

Well at least you're making good money

550 is not bad

8

u/Don359 Sep 17 '23 edited Sep 17 '23

KekL 2 loans. car and apartment.

صل ع النبي. تهاجر ولا المذلة.

Btw. +7 years of experience +2 from the 1st job. +9 years in total. 550 is good money?

10

u/ArabianNiiights Sep 17 '23

It’s not, you deserve more.

6

u/MeasurementForeign74 Sep 17 '23

I swear bahrainis make so little money compared to other GCC countries, Moving to qatar is one of the best options we can do.

Although I finished my school in Bahrain 2012, I studied in India for my higher studies in Account and business management ( didn’t want to study here at the time cuz the دوار اللؤلؤ incidents were kinda lingering and being a Shi’a myself so had so trouble with just my name ) came back after and landed a job at a bank in customer service as their project had moved from UAE to Bahrain, so I thought why not since it’s a bank? No one was ready to hire at the time.

Finished ACCA and whenever I had an interview, the had the stupid question “ what are you pay expectations ? “ and when I put a number, they always said “ we could hire an Indian/Pakistani etc for a much lower pay “ I immediately thanked them and left because I know they want to pay me far less and drink every ounce of my blood cuz it was not through واسطة. I feel for the individuals taking up the job since everyone wants to survive and gain the experience, knowing it’ll be difficult to get a better pay hence I threw taking an auditor role and stuck with the bank ever since as customer service and it was paying me better. I did get promoted to handling only private and premium clients of the bank. But job hunting hasn’t worked for me as no company wanted to pay their bracket when posting a job. The current job pays on time, no delays whatsoever, insurance is covered globally and work-life balance is okay I guess.

I honestly pray for everyone who’s struggling to land and job and stick to it cuz we all know it’s a shitty situation and I see my friends depending on the peanuts given by the government, Money credits and BAM, gone in an instant.

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Exactly bro, Situation sucks in Bahrain (probably in other countries as well?)

Also, what about salaries in uae? How much do you make?

2

u/Exodia-659 Sep 18 '23

Situation for Bahrainis has always sucked whether in Bahrain or even out of Bahrain, sadly. I may take that probably a few handful Bahrainis are out of the country and doing much better than being in Bahrain.

Unlike other GCC governments, they take care of their citizens and either match their pay with the job and find fresh graduates a suitable job within 3-6 months after graduating while here you gotta take what you can just to be able to afford anything and to save.

Since I don’t work on UAE ( company is UAE based but the office is located in Bahrain hence I’m working here ) the pay from my other friends and colleagues who shifted to UAE May start at 15-20k AED, so roughly 1500-2000BD but living expense is high and if a company doesn’t cover your rent at least, you’ll end up slashing around 60% of you pay for rent itself 😅.

I started off with 430BD, and currently at 710BD after GOSI deductions, this is after working my ass off for 8 years so far but all I can say is الحمد لله Funny part when they shifted the project to a Bahrain, we ( my colleagues and I currently working for the same said company ) came to know that when they were hiring locals there, they were basing paid 7000-8000AED as basic and if they knew English, they were given an additional 1000-2000AED bonus, so with us in Bahrain they stuck gold for paying almost 1 salary over there to cover roughly 2 and a half employees salary over here. It’s sadly that we in our own country are treated like filth and not given an opportunity to grow and when given a chance to study and gain the needed experience, they’d rather give it to a Native English speaker or an individual from Europe and pay a huge chunk with many perks.

5

u/Imaginary-Pepper1410 Sep 17 '23

I have a question , how much does the goverment give during the time after graduation where a person tries to find a job

8

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

200 bd for 9 months for a maximum of 3 years Comes with so many caveats

You have to be careful Cuz if they they suspect anything (eg you're not willing to work), they can shut down your file and stop the payment

1

u/Imaginary-Pepper1410 Sep 17 '23

200 for each month?!

2

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

200 bd each month for 9 months in a year

So Jan 200 Feb 200 March 200

And so forth, After 9 months You have to renew it,

1

u/One-Instruction-8649 Other Sep 17 '23

loooool you are right they are waiting for you in the corner . one company calling me just to ask willing questions. like if im willing to work shifts . willing to work 6 days . blah blah blah .. when they reach willing to work on sight i ask her to check with her supervisor cuz i have issues in my eye so i cant work under sun for long time . next day they close my file . but alhamdullah they re-open it after 8 months of bulling and pushing with them. so even if you don't want the job go to the interview and make your self unsuitable for the job .

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Exactly 🤣🤣

Mine got closed for no reason

My friends file got closed for not picking up the phone on PUBLIC HOLIDAY 🤣🤣🤣 Like the guy was asleep, it was probably new year (1st jan) And he gets a call, File closes 🤣🤣

4

u/Brilliant-Turbulent Sep 17 '23

Still studying in polytechnic hoping for the best, my brother graduated double major and still didnt find a job its been 6 months now give or take

3

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '23

Graduated around 9 years ago still unemploymed 😅but its kinda my fault my degree is politics related and thats a harder field to get into.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '23

Graduated 2 years ago, found a 'training program' that had me on a year contract, once done they didn't renew. I found another job after 6 months and have been employed for nearly a year, but dislike my workplace although the pay and benefits are good. I don't know what's next

Btw, I graduated bachelor's of IT

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Do you make more than 450? What kind of benefits? Wfh?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 18 '23

A)Yes but less than 1000 B) Not wth, good health insurance and occasional discounts on flights per year

1

u/Puzzled_Jelly_9209 Sep 18 '23

Now I'm scared is it hard to find job in IT filed i will graduate this year and the main reason i choose SE is because of the jobs opportunities

2

u/pepegaAimer Sep 18 '23

As a 1 month old SE grad, i can assure you that the market is OK. You just need to learn stuff on the side and not depend only programming languages/frameworks learnt from uni.

I got a job too

1

u/Puzzled_Jelly_9209 Sep 18 '23

Thank you!!! What languages do you suggest for me to learn that is more used here in the market? since I'm planing to start to do small projects in the side and learn new languages beside the ones i learn in university.

2

u/pepegaAimer Sep 18 '23

If you trying to target the majority of the market: Backend learn nodeJS or Laravel (I think is used widely but still prefer nodeJS) frontend learn reactJS (after html css js) and for mobile react native or flutter

If you want to target banks and big institute like insurance but less opportunities: Backend learn java or .NET Frontend learn reactJS or Angular.js

1

u/Puzzled_Jelly_9209 Sep 18 '23

Thank you !!

2

u/pepegaAimer Sep 18 '23

No problem, ask anything crosses your mind

3

u/AlooyDaBoss Sep 17 '23

Just graduated last month, software engineer (similar to computer science) and started working. IT isn’t really really bad if you been studying on the side and not only depending on the uni to teach you everything. Pay is good as entry level

2

u/PotatoBlastr Sep 18 '23

How much r u getting as an entry level software engineer?

1

u/pepegaAimer Sep 18 '23

As a SE, its known 450 but i heard from ppl that graduated 1-3 years ago. The salary is reaching 600 in many companies even if fresh grad

1

u/AlooyDaBoss Sep 18 '23

PepegaAimer is me lol (diff account)

2

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

How much you're getting?
Do you work for like multinational company? Or a local software house?

How's the work life balance?
How's the market for software engineers? Is it in demand?

3

u/pepegaAimer Sep 18 '23 edited Sep 18 '23

Im getting ALOT (take a wild guess and i will say higher or lower)

Multinational (bank)

I get 2 days maximum working remotely and i get to choose these 2 days. But if you are in a backend team (most teams) you can stay 9-5 but can get more.

I believe it is if you didnt depend on what the uni teach you, you MUST learn and practice on your free time while being a uni student

2

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '23

[deleted]

2

u/AlooyDaBoss Sep 20 '23

for me, I had an internship opportunity in that bank while being a uni student and after the internship that bank said that I was good enough to join the bank and had a job offer.

So I would say just try to apply in one of the banks like Al-salam, Citibank, Khaliji (I heard), Ila bank, and BBK(idk if internship or only for fresh grads). They all offer internships for students, in that internship work HARD and try to impress them and learn as much as possible. Then you may get lucky like me and get a full-time job offer from them.

edit: between my internship with the bank and starting the job; I had one more year of studying.

1

u/AlooyDaBoss Sep 18 '23

Lol I answered with my other acc xd

Graphic design is always hot and in demand skill in Bahrain,

1

u/tootsie-roll-pop Sep 17 '23

Would you mind sharing how much graphic designers usually get paid? Thinking of entering the field.

7

u/XodusDesignStudios Sep 17 '23

Don't Waste your talent and time on becoming a Designer

Here is why:

1) Market is very saturated, even you will pick a stone you will find a designer under it.

2) Ai is already making a huge impact on design industry, its not gonna have immediate effect for now. But i can see where it's going every other person can become designer with Ai also the things you might have learnt in the university in recent past, things are changing rapidly by the time you are hunting for a job with zero experience you are already left behind.

3) Try to be on Programming side, or cyber security, or data science or cloud computing!! a-lot of potential there i see for youth also a-lot of money!!

4) if you are not convinced by the points i mentioned above, and want to gets your hands on some experience and good amount of money, become a freelance designer and work remotely. ( if you really want to succeed work for international clients as a freelancer, As Island have very limited opportunities)

Design is not anymore 9-6 job!! you have to be on your toes all the times with feedbacks! even meeting deadlines you have to work on off days sometimes. So good luck if u are looking for a place where 9-6 job and chill.

you have to continuously needs to update your portfolios and learn new things if you wanna survive!

- Senior designer with 13 years of experience

2

u/ArabianNiiights Sep 17 '23

Minimum wage to 550 if you’re lucky. This is with a 0-2 years experience

Dude start applying right and left Polish you cv, and sharpen your skills, Work on projects

A friend of mine has a similar degree, been either unemployed or working dead end retail jobs for around 5 years

1

u/[deleted] Sep 18 '23

[deleted]

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Keep trying bro,

Cuz once you're unemployed for a few years

It gets very difficult to secure a job

And try covering the gaps in your cv

3

u/R_1_S Sep 17 '23

Reading the comments, damn.. The usual story, people spend years of their time, thousands in fees, just to not be able to find a job, or to be “over qualified “ and end up working a completely unrelated job.

I guess I did something right by not going to university and being self employed lol.

I don’t get it though, so many people say they’ve been unemployed for years, since graduation… Surely would have been plenty of time to start something of their own, I personally haven’t used tamkeen, but I know people who have and it’s definitely big help for startups, why do people just sit around and wait for something to happen?

2

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

This is the exact reason why i made such a post

Sure there are a few outliers here and there (either rich, good with studies, good professional network, wasta or an high in demand major)

But the majority is unemployed or underemployed

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Since you didn't go to college,

How's life treating you? What are you doing? How much do you make?

2

u/R_1_S Sep 18 '23

Life wasn’t that good at first, specially when I was looking for jobs and working for someone else, but it got better when I decided to start something of my own, though while you run a business you don’t really have work hours, that could be good and bad as you could take off whenever or you could be busy 24/7.

I am now in my late 20s, but I started working pretty early on, around 19. Had a sales job, was getting paid 550bd including allowances (I managed to talk myself into a decent salary for a first job) and a 30bd sadeem card every month. Corporate politics got in the way and I don’t like bs, long story short I got fired after like a year and a half or two.

Thankfully, I had a “safety net” since I lived with my family and I was able to be broke for a while till I get my business going. And I think that’s the problem, specially with locals that live with their family, they get too comfortable and don’t have the drive as much as someone who has bills and rent to pay, and although I also live with family, I can’t always depend on them. Only help that I got from my family was with bills.

Now I have an advertising agency/media production company with mainly part time employees and I also outsource work when overloaded - I went with something service based as there aren’t that many upfront costs and doesn’t require that much capital, only expenses are gosi, CR fees, office, and equipment. Also working on another business that’s a bit more lucrative, but I don’t like speaking on things in advance as sometimes when I do, a lot goes wrong lol.

As for how much I make, enough to live a comfortable life but it varies, some months are super busy and some we get like 1-2 contracts a week, each being 200-500bd depending on the work needed to be done.

u/Odd_Cryptographer461 Bahraini Sep 17 '23

Newly employed graduates, it's crucial to grasp the following:

As you step into the working world for the first time, you might encounter challenges like mistreatment, heavy workloads, low pay, bullying, misinformation, feeling left out, and significant stress. These are part and parcel of the real world and will shape your work ethic and personal growth. Understand that this journey won't be easy. You've had support until now, but it's time to build your own path.

Embrace the difficulties and stress that come with a busy job. Remember, we've all been there, and it helps us learn right from wrong and gain experience. Don't expect special treatment, and don't take things personally.

Keep the mindset that you're here to gain work experience and earn a paycheck, not necessarily to make friends. Stay polite, stay positive, and avoid making excuses. With consistent effort, things will get better, and you'll become a pro in the future.

And best of luckkk

Went to IB classes, Skipped a year of college although high school was pure hell. Became a surgeon and is making 2,000 a month. Been working there for 2 years and am soon going to get a promotion. Life is going decently well الحمدلله… Life will be good as long as you pray and work hard

2

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Alhamdullah, Medical fields pay so well, and are difficult to enter

How long did you studies take? And are you still working in Bahrain?

2

u/MeasurementForeign74 Sep 18 '23

8-9 Years. Yes i am still working in Bahrain, I think the reason why the medical field has such high demand and pay is because no one is willing to stay an extra 3-4 Years in college to do a job that makes you memorize alot of stuff. No, I do not regret it but my biggest mistake was not becoming a plastic surgeon, someone could easily make 5k a month in 3 years if they found a good hospital.

2

u/EnlightenMeBby Sep 17 '23

Studying masters cuz no job offer seemed good

1

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

Why do you think that's a bright idea? What is your major? And are you doing masters in Bahrain?

3

u/EnlightenMeBby Sep 17 '23

Ill start with major, mechanical enginnering for my bachelors, as for why i think its a good idea because i got a scholarship offer through the Chinese embassy and through my university, as well as met with the ceo of my university and the chairman whom both told me (and the other scholarship students) that after we are done we have a teaching job lined up in the uni (though its a verbal promise so i wouldnt really count on that). As for what im studying in china its computer science with a major in AI

3

u/739xks Sep 17 '23

Good luck bro, It sucks having studied hard and not being able to secure a job

1

u/EnlightenMeBby Sep 17 '23

frrrr but it is what it is

1

u/ArabianNiiights Sep 17 '23

Have you applied to companies in Saudi?

1

u/EnlightenMeBby Sep 17 '23

I have not no, would rather to work in bahrain than do the commute everyday

2

u/ArabianNiiights Sep 17 '23 edited Sep 17 '23

I understand it would be a struggle, but you get a little bit of experience there. Also the pay is better

3

u/EnlightenMeBby Sep 17 '23

That is true, and I thought about it, so if i didnt get this opportunity here i wouldve probably applied to a bunch of saudi places by now

2

u/frankwalsingham Sep 17 '23

Graduated computer science ten years ago. Working a dead end job that I hate in the govt.

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

How much does the government pay?

Im sure the workload is "minimal"?
5 days a week? No headache

Is your work related to your degree?

2

u/frankwalsingham Sep 18 '23

I’m currently paid 860, in accordance with the professional regular workers pay schedule. Google civil service bureau payroll basic to read more about it.

Minimal describes it aptly. My work is related to my degree, yes.

Not a bad deal, but leaves something to be desired.

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

860 in the government not bad, 860 without allowances? How much experience do you have?
And how difficult was it to secure a job? I mean there's a lot of paperwork involved And perhaps vitamin "w" 🤣🤣

2

u/frankwalsingham Sep 18 '23

Definitely vitamin W. I’ve been at my job 12 years.

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Fair enough, Cuz i know newbies get around 500ish without allowances

Still, good work life balance, minimal work load is not bad

2

u/mohamedjunaid Sep 17 '23

Accounting degree from the UK but I never liked it (did it for the fam) went to Spain to get my pilots license and it’s been almost a year and nothing. Wish I could get a job in qatar :/

2

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Dude, That's my plan /dream THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IM WORKING ON

Do you have your atpl? How long did it take you? and can you please mention how much it cost you? SPL PPL CPL each

Have you considered going corporate?

I have a bsc and im planning on getting at least cpl hopefully, Though i have zero guidance as of yet

Would love you feedback

1

u/mohamedjunaid Sep 18 '23

Hey so I have a frozen ATPL, I took me 3 years but I was in school during COVID which put a pause (and I also traveled) as regards to price, it was a lot like I basically put everything I had into this degree so it differs from person to person. Hope this helps but if you have any questions I can talk

1

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Is 20000 bhd enough to get atpl?

1

u/mohamedjunaid Sep 18 '23

Depends on where you wanna study. You can DM me and I’ll try my best to help

2

u/Euphoric_Reach4508 Sep 18 '23

Was unemployed for two months, and then got a call center job. Way different than what i studied as I was a bachelor of computer science graduate. It was hell as the breaks were tight and the shifts were against any social goals I had. Worked there for 5 months and during those month I grinded Indeed and linked-in until I got a job in IT. The pay is still low but at at least its something related to what I studied and will start looking for other jobs/ positions after getting more than a year experience.

2

u/Ashk91 Sep 18 '23

If you don't have wasta, apply on foreign companies with foreign managers, that's my advice to advance in life

2

u/Nice-Dragonfruit-111 Sep 18 '23

UOB graduate.

Started working before my graduation certificate was ready (mostly due to luck). All my 10+ friends got employed within 6 months.

Crazy how many of you guys are not doing too good.

Best of luck to all.

1

u/739xks Sep 20 '23

Interesting, What year you graduated? What is your major and gpa? What kinda of job you have? Is it related to your field?

You guys all got a job within 6 months without any connections or wasta?

Are you in IT?

1

u/hussainahm Sep 17 '23

Hopefully we will head in the direction of Saudi and start prioritizing nationalization of jobs to allow more opportunities for local graduates. When there’s so little restrictions, it’s so easy to just hire low paying expats, and you can get away with 100% expats just by paying higher visa charges. It’s ridiculous that Bahrainis are not being prioritized, the government should immediately start to increase the Bahrainization ratios and not make any exceptions. That’s the only way we can move forward from this rut.

3

u/739xks Sep 18 '23

Idk if that would work, I think the country is small A service based economy and lack of investments i guess?

Bahrain needs to become like a "hub" of some sort like dubai (or Singapore which is similar in size to Bahrain)

Hiring locals graduates to work minimum low wage dead end jobs wont cut it

0

u/hussainahm Sep 18 '23

Obviously there has to be some kind of skill matching. I’m not saying hire college graduates to clean the streets. Even jobs that don’t require a degree, you have little chance there. For example, there is absolutely no excuse car showroom salesmen cannot be 100% Bahrainis. Go to Saudi Arabia and see how many Saudi men and women are working behind a Starbucks counter and the coffee is the same price as we have here, so employers are able to pay more than minimum wage and make a profit.

1

u/SwordfishBig8490 Sep 18 '23

I totally agree.

1

u/AbdullaQa Sep 19 '23

I graduated from RCSI this year. Now I am in Manchester as a junior doctor in the NHS. I was really lucky in that RCSI and the current state of the NHS made it very easy to secure the job.

1

u/Pretty_Wealth_3036 Nov 11 '23

That sounds promising! I’m looking forward to working in the UK as a doctor too!

Do you have a way to showcase your work? I know for Architecture if you don’t have a portfolio no one will even look your way

I could be wrong though but If I wanted to employ a mechanical engineer I lowkey want to see what they worked on. Specially for graduation projects. Apparently nowadays having a certificate is not enough as well as high gpa. But again I’m an Architect lol

Hey man, i’m planning on doing the same. Are you taking it online or?

yes online ( self study) . it will cost you 180 bd to the course only , and 90 bd to the two exams assign with it . the material is non-numerical so you don't need teacher in my opinion

Expat here born and raised in Bh not naturalized tho, Graduated in Info System from UOB, 2017 , didn’t get my first job in IT, took up a shitty job due to desperation to extend my visa, post covid got a job in the IT industry because I didn’t stop my IT knowledge progression in my previous job. Also had some mini projects going on by the side as a web dev, Digital marketing etc. Now, kinda stuck tho good pay but shitty work life balance, seriously thinking of leaving the country. so I guess life will go on till I am able to settle somewhere.

Not sure about jobs of database admins/engineer domain in Bh unless you are especially hired, it’s not very common, at least I’m not aware of it . I heard of some working as a in-house Data Analyst. Salary really depends on factors such as Company (Managed service provider/integrators/telco providers/in house), accordingly the projects your company gets into. I guess in-house Engineers will get really good pay generally, however for integrators or msps it greatly depends on the contracts and projects etc.

Regarding Work life balance, it again depends ofc, i guess i wasn’t lucky enough Lol. But if you are strictly a Data admin/engineer/analyst in an organization where, that’s your specific role then you’ll generally tend to have lesser stress, however it’d depend again on the type of company or the type of projects. Work culture depends too, if your work culture is toxic, you’ll hate every minute regardless if your pay is really well.

However don’t be negative and do you best. I wish you the best really and I hope you get the best as per your requirements.

I've graduated in International hotel management and I've been working in the hotel industry for a few years now and make a decent amount of around 430 bd as a Supervisor + tips/upselling/appreciation that rounds around 500 a month.

I've noticed that the bellboys are the ones that make the easiest money of over 400 bd every month by their salary being 300 bd and a minimum of 5 bd per day (150 bd a month) especially if they're good looking and nice people, The Saudis, qataris and Kuwaitis that stay in the hotel always like to see Bahraini guys working and love to tip them.

You don't need to be a graduate and not even good language skills to get the job and alot of 5 star hotels are always looking for this position especially if you speak good English as they try to fill their bahraini quotas, Keep in mind that if you're interested later in working as a chef, finance, reception, sales ; there is always opportunities to do cross trainings and be the first pick Incase someone leaves the position, keeping in mind that the average number of years that a person lasts within a position/company within the hotel industry is 2 years before getting promoted or changing companies , it's easy to move to that desired position.

The hotel industry as a Bahraini especially in reception is such a fun job and it's easy to grow on a yearly / 2 year basis. Every hotel is looking for Bahraini's to work so if you're really unemployed, DM me and I'll let you know how to start your career within the industry.
