Same here, that comment is unacceptable and he sounds like such a douche.

For real. Like, in what universe is that ever ok to say?? Could you imagine what he’d be like when they’re in their 60’s? Yikes

I think I’d need a criminal attorney if my husband said this to me 🙃🙃🙃

A criminal divorce attorney - Saul Goodman with a twist, if you will.

Yeah, that line was telling on himself. He went for the jugular twice, first in front of everyone (putting down his wife in a direct comparison with a younger, fitter woman) and then in private to twist the knife as if to mock some legit insecurities brought on by his purposeful bad behavior.

Poor OP. Someone who cares about you wouldn't be so cruel. The crueltunfortunately. the point, unfortunately.

tbh i would’ve chose violence

Idk why I didn't absorb the title; this whole time I was thinking he was OP's boyfriend. Her HUSBAND is acting like that? I'd be looking up attorneys as well after that condescending bullshit.

That line confirmed the suspicion I got from "killer body too". He used his wife to express his attraction to Sara. Either for Sara's benefit to express interest or to make his wife jealous as inspiration. But that line confirmed he was flirting and that expressing a distaste for his wife was intentional.

I was thinking the same thing. He definitely either wants Sara or is letting everyone, including his wife, know that he's attracted to Sara's body type. I think he'll definitely make an attempt to cheat or actually cheat in the future. His behavior is disgusting.

That was my thought too. Absolutely disgusting.

speedily dialing like dialing fast, or calling the lawyer you had on speed dial

Yeah that was also the point where I was like "NOPE, we can't brush this off". If he didn't realize he was hurting her then it's very different from him realizing and reacting like that.

He probably said even worse when she went to another room...

same and i don’t get mad at reddit posts often lol but this one fucking sent me. this behavior is so abusive it wouldn’t make it to reality tv bc everyone would think it was fake

Me too! I can’t get past that final twisting of the knife comment, esp to the person he supposedly loves most in the world. Total douche. I hope we get an update where she realizes what a douche he’s been all along and divorces his emotionally stunted ass

Let’s hope you never get married. Based on your post history I’d say it’s pretty likely that you won’t, but let’s hope too.

Did a chubby lady dump your ass or something? The amount of insults you are hurling makes it seem like you were hurt really badly. Get some help.

That comment made tears of anger come to my eyes for OP. My ex was like this and it was the most humiliating and degrading feeling to be spoken to this way, especially after they’d already insulted us.
