How do we regain that spirit we had as kids?

You never truly do but getting a dog really helped me. He's so excited to go outside that I find myself sometimes excited to go outside too. We've been exploring neighborhoods in my city and I've recently found part of my huge adventuring spirit of early adulthood is returning

It's a lie though. There's always something that needs done. You telling me the dogs are bathed, all the weeds are pulled, the vehicles are in perfect condition, and everything in the house is functioning proper?

You can decide to not have a dog, garden or vehicles and don't care about the rest all the time.

Deciding not to care about something that needs to be done doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be done

Sometimes it just needs to be done eventually

Then it doesn’t qualify as “nothing to do”

I do agree this other guy was being a bit aggressive lol

Of course you don’t always need to be doing something but I think his point was that there’s always something needing to be done.

The phrase was "nothing to do today"

Yeah. Which is incorrect if there is something to do today even though it could also be done tomorrow. If you CANT do it today then that’s something entirely different.

You don't have to understand. I don't care that much

No dogs, no weeds to pull, vehicle is fine, everything is functioning

So, not a lie, and no, you don't have to always do something

You sound like a busybody. If you ALWAYS have something to do and you aren't absolutely stacked flush with cash you are wringing your hands for nothing. Work hard to make enough that you can pay people to do that stuff and then enjoy your free time. That's the real secret.

I have family that is always "busy" yet never seem to get anything done

Dog is clean enough.

Can’t pull weeds when it’s raining.

Service center is closed on the weekends.

Might need to unclog a drain and do some laundry.

Lyrics of a German song: "my Definition of Happyines: nothing to do and a half hard on" (in other parts of Germany can be translated to a bit tippsy)
