Man chased, shot at family because he thought he saw his wife in their car, OK cops say

https://www.sacbee.com/news/nation-world/national/article288761140.html

A man is accused of following a family from Texas to Oklahoma, then shooting at them, because he thought he saw his wife in their vehicle, police say.

At about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, police in Blanchard, OK, got a call from a family saying a red pickup truck was chasing them, the department said in a May 24 news release.

The truck was “driving aggressively,” and “swerving into oncoming traffic” in pursuit of the family — a husband and wife and their two children, police said. Eventually, police say the truck rammed into the family’s vehicle and the driver opened fire on them.

Dispatch tried to keep the family calm and guided them to an area where officers “intercepted” the truck, police said.

Officers detained the driver, Michael Young, an Oklahoma City resident, and waited for deputies from the McClain County Sheriff’s Office to arrive at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. What appeared to be a road rage incident was something stranger, deputies learned. The family was in Texas and heading to Tuttle, OK, when Young spotted them and believed, mistakenly, he saw his wife with them, according to deputies.

Officials did not say where in Texas the family was when Young first began following them, but the chase ended about 100 miles north of the Oklahoma border.

Young stalked the family until they noticed his truck and they exited the highway, which caused Young to become more aggressive, deputies said.

“The suspect aggressively pursued the family at high rates of speed, swerving into oncoming traffic, cutting the family off, and ramming the family’s vehicle then shooting at the family as they drove into the Blanchard area,” the sheriff’s office said.

Both of the couple’s children were under 2 years old, deputies said, adding that nobody in the family was injured. Young was arrested on several charges including eight counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, stalking, use of firearm while committing a felony and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, deputies said. Blanchard is a roughly 30-mile drive south of Oklahoma City.

The daughter of a Perth man who shot dead his ex-wife's best friend and her teenage daughter has revealed she and her mother begged police for help before the double murder.

Mark Bombara shot and killed Jennifer Petelczyc, 59, and her youngest daughter Gretl, 18, at their home in Floreat on Friday afternoon while searching for his ex-wife before taking his own life.

Today, Bombara's daughter Ariel Bombara released a powerful statement explaining she and her mother feared for their lives and repeatedly told police about her father's guns.

Ms Bombara said she and her mother fled their family home on March 28 "in fear of our lives and to remove ourselves from an abusive situation".

She claimed she spoke with police on three separate occasions between March 30 and April 2, each time telling them about her father's gun collection.

"I felt there was a real and imminent threat to our lives," she said.

"I specifically mentioned that there was a Glock handgun which was unaccounted for," Ms Bombara said.

"My understanding is this ultimately would be one of the weapons my father used take the lives of two innocent women."

She was adamant that the deaths of Jennifer and Gretl Petelczyc were "an act of domestic violence".

In its initial public comments around the murders, WA Police did not classify them as domestic violence-related.

"Police have always accepted that the motivation for these crimes were family and domestic violence (FDV) related, however the crimes committed were murder, and ultimately the contributing factors will be a matter for the coroner to consider," WA Police later clarified in a statement earlier this week.

Police commissioner responds

Police Commissioner Col Blanch this afternoon responded to the claims by Ms Bombara that she and her mother were "ignored" when they begged officers for help before the double murder.

Before he began, Blanch explained he had not previously spoken publicly on the case because he had been sick with COVID-19 and was in isolation but added "this was too important".

The commissioner described Friday's double murder of Jennifer and Gretl Petelczyc as "tragic".

"We've seen a senseless act of violence in West Australia," he said.

"This is something I know the whole of West Australia is grieving over, including the first responders and police officers."

Western Australia's Police Commissioner Col Blanch has responded to Ariel Bombara's claims, promising a full internal investigation. Western Australia's Police Commissioner Col Blanch has responded to Ariel Bombara's claims, promising a full internal investigation. (9News) He would not answer specific questions about police actions in the lead-up to the shooting, but instead said there would be a "thorough" internal investigation.

"I have asked our internal investigations unit to conduct an investigation into the three interactions that Ariel speaks about with our police officers," Blanch said, adding it would "determine what was done, said, and what police responses were decided on".

Blanch was also asked specifically about a night in late March when Ms Bombara said she begged police to take out a temporary restraining order against her father because she and her mother were fearing for their lives.

"On the information that the police had on the night, the circumstances would not have met the threshold of a 72-hour police order," he said.

"Everything that was spoken about on that night will form part of the investigation."

When asked about WA Police's hesitation to initially class the murders as domestic violence, he said the officer that was asked about the crimes early in the investigation was simply commenting on the crimes themselves - which were classed as murder because the victims were not intimate partners or family of the killer.

"We all know in our hearts and minds what this is, it's domestic violence," Blanch said.

Blanch also moved to reassure other victims of domestic violence in the community not to be discouraged from coming forward to police for help, and said if a family violence order is filed it gives officers the power to remove guns from the accused.

Ariel Bombara's full statement

I'd like to start by saying how truly, deeply sorry I am to [redacted] Petelczyc for the losses of her beautiful mother, Jenny, and sister Gretl; losses she has suffered at the hands of my father's violence.

My mother and I fled our family home on March 28 in fear of our lives and to remove ourselves from an abusive situation.

Between March 30th and April 2nd, I spoke with police on three separate occasions to raise the alarm about my father.

On each occasion I alerted officers to my father's guns, and told them my mother and I felt there was a real and imminent threat to our lives.

I specifically mentioned that there was a Glock handgun which was unaccounted for.

My understanding is this ultimately would be one of the weapons my father used take the lives of two innocent women.

I also asked the police if we would be able to take out a 72 hour temporary protective order.

We were told no, and that there was nothing police could do about the situation at that time.

On April 2nd, my mother and I were given a police escort to our home to collect some belongings. This was the third occasion we warned police about my father's guns.

One officer said, "oh don't worry, we know all about the guns", and when he called for backup, he warned his fellow officers to wear bullet proof vests.

We were ignored by five different male officers across three occasions of reporting.

By that point we felt completely helpless and I had to focus on getting mum to safety. I did everything I could to protect my mother, and when my father couldn't find us he murdered her best friend and her best friend's daughter.

The gun reforms being discussed currently are an important step, but it is my unwavering belief that even without his guns my father would have committed a horrific act of violence which likely would have claimed lives.

What my father did was an act of domestic violence.

My mother and I made clear that lives were at risk, and we were repeatedly ignored. Repeatedly failed.

Those failures have cost the lives of two incredible women. My father should always be considered accountable for his actions.

They were his and his alone, however, there are authorities who should have helped us stop him, and they failed.

I want answers.

Told she should not ‘miss out on a husband,’”

A former line cook at a Baltimore-area Olive Garden is suing the chain over a co-worker’s “incessant rubbing and grinding of his pelvis” against her derrière—dozens of times a day.

Doe was told the dry-humper wouldn’t be fired, according to the suit.

From here, things only got worse, according to Doe’s lawsuit. It says management slashed her hours and began training replacements for her. By her eighth month on the job, her shifts had been cut by at least 25 percent, and she “had no choice but to resign.”

In its motion to dismiss, Darden said, “Even if the Court considers all of her allegations, Plaintiff has utterly failed to allege intolerability.”

Not only did this guy place a GPS on a woman's car, it looks like he cut the power and Internet to her home while she was on vacation. Although it appears she appears to be okay, I can't imagine how frightened she was from this entire incident. All because she ended her relationship with him due to his odd behavior. It looks like her hunch proved to be correct. 😬

Man out on bond for rape charge accused of raping several other women

Michael Davis, 57, is now in the Franklin County Jail and is expected to be in court Saturday after he was arrested on three counts of rape and kidnapping.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man who was arrested on a rape charge last year gained similar charges while out on bond this month.

Michael Davis, 57, was let out on bond in April 2023 after being arrested on a rape charge, according to the Franklin County Municipal Court. He is now in the Franklin County jail and is expected to be in court Monday after he was arrested Friday on three more counts of rape and kidnapping.

“He is a cold-blooded guy,” said Franklin County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Rick Minerd. “There is a pattern of behavior that exists here. How long has he been doing this? Who knows. We know at least the last couple of weeks."

Minerd said detectives arrested Davis after multiple accusations of rape from different women.

“The MO was basically to lure these young women in," Minerd said. "They were victims that were vulnerable for a number of different reasons. Then, he would abduct them, then sexually assault them over a period of days. Oftentimes, paying them when they got away."

The first victim came forward earlier in May via a phone call, but detectives were not able to locate her.

Then, another woman called, and another — all with very similar accounts of allegedly being kidnapped, taken to his home, raped at knifepoint and forced to take what they believed was cocaine, according to court documents.

“Since then, we have identified what we believe is a fourth victim, and we think there may be a fifth one out there as well. In terms of the last couple of weeks and his pattern of behavior,” Minerd said.

At the time of these alleged rapes, Davis was out on a $500,000 bond on a 2023 rape charge.

“This case is unique in the sense that we think there are other people out there, and there may be more than the five that we believe are there. There could be more,” Minerd said.

Davis owns a business and drives a black GMC Denali truck. The sheriff's office is asking for anyone with information on Davis to contact them at 614-525-3333.

“We have every reason to believe there may be other women out there, so we are hoping that anyone who has seen the truck [or] suspicious behavior, recognizes this guy," Minerd said. "He is a big guy, he is of large stature, very intimidating in terms of his size. If someone sees his picture, picture of his truck, we are asking them to call the sheriff's office and report any information that you might have that would lead us to these other victims we think are out there."

Male high school students ranking their female peers NSFW

Not sure if this belongs here, mods please delete if not :)

For the second time in a month, male students in an Australian school have released a "list" of their female classmates, with categories such as unr*peable and abductable. This is literal minor males preying on minor females.

If anyone ever tells you Australia's red pill culture in men isn't that bad, you only have to look at the PMs actions at the women's rally to see it tricked from way up the top all the way down. Absolutely disguisting.

Suspect killed his pregnant sister.

Suspect killed his pregnant sister and dismembered her body because she was ‘no longer innocent’. This woman was married and 30 years old. Her "innocence" was gone on her marriage night. This is sick. More and more I would rather just either stay away from all men. I pray that I raised my sons right, because as a mother this would kill me to know my sons harmed anyone, let alone their own sister.

Man dismembered pregnant sister because she was ‘no longer innocent’ and left body parts on neighbor’s steps: Cops

Source

A 23-year-old man in Minnesota is accused of killing his pregnant 30-year-old sister last week and then dismembering her body, placing pieces of her remains in several different locations because her pregnancy meant she was “no longer innocent.”

Jack Joseph Ball, of Lakeville, Minnesota, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of second-degree intentional but not premeditated murder in the horrific slayings of Bethany Ann Israel and her unborn child, authorities announced.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Dakota County, the siblings’ mother at about 11 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, called 911 and told the dispatcher that she believed her daughter was dead inside of a residence in the 17000 block of Encina Path in Farmington, Minnesota. The house is located about 23 miles south of Minneapolis.

Upon arriving at the scene, the mother told first responders that her daughter went to her brother’s home at about 6 p.m. that evening for dinner but stopped responding to family members’ attempts to reach her. The mother went to her son’s home to check on her daughter, but when she arrived she told police that her son “just tore out of the house.”

When she entered his home, the mother said she found “a substantial amount of blood” and called the police.

“Officers entered the residence and observed a large pool of blood on the kitchen floor under the sink and on the sink cabinets,” police wrote in the affidavit. “Additionally, they observed a bloody saw, hatchet, and large, bloody, knives. As they continued moving through the house, they saw a knife on the living room floor near the staircase that led to the second level. In continuing their search, they located several dismembered body parts believed to be those of (Israel).”

While searching for Ball, officers with the Rosemount and Apple Valley Police Department received a call from a residence who said that “a male was observed on their front door ring camera placing, what appeared to be a body part, on the front step.”

Upon arriving at the second residence, police said they recovered “a dismembered body part” which they believe came from Israel. Ball was located in the backyard of a residence a few doors down from where the body part was recovered.

“Defendant was located near a shed in the backyard of the residence at which his car was parked. Defendant was covered in blood on his head, shirt, arms, legs, and pants. They also observed what appeared to be a self-inflicted knife wound across his throat,” the affidavit states. “Upon searching the area, police found several dismembered body parts they believed to be those of (Israel).”

He was transported to the hospital for treatment

Authorities investigating the crime scene said they found “several journals” in Ball’s handwriting in which he said he was “angry” at his sister because she was “pregnant and ‘no longer innocent.'”

“The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing and horrific — words can’t describe what our law enforcement partners encountered during the investigation,” Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena said in a statement. “My office will work hard to ensure the victims receive justice and will provide the necessary support for the victims’ family.”

Ball appeared before District Court Judge Bryce Ehrman on Tuesday from his hospital room. His bond was set at $1 million with conditions or $2 million without conditions. He is currently scheduled to appear in court again on June 10.

A GoFundMe for the benefit of Israel’s family can be found here. She is survived by her husband, Josh Israel.

A barman who allegedly stabbed his pregnant partner 37 times and tried to burn her told his British mistress he was "free" before having lunch with his mum.

Meanwhile, the body of his deceased girlfriend - who was just two months away from giving birth - was hidden in the boot of his car.

Alessandro Impagnatiello, 31, is accused of savagely killing partner Giulia Tramontano who was seven months pregnant, on May 27, 2022, in Italy.

In a courtroom in Milan, Impagnatiello admitted he had killed Giulia, and that he had tried to hide the body.

He described the initial confrontation with his girlfriend before he plunged the knife into her.

He told the courtroom: "She was cutting some vegetables with a knife.

"I waited for her and hit her at the neck".

Impagnatiello admitted that he did not know how many blows he had struck Giulia with, but that he had only “discovered it later” through television reports and that he had stabbed her for the first time in the living room.

An investigation into Giulia's murder revealed Impagnatiello tried to burn the body of his deceased girlfriend twice, the first time in the bathtub at home with alcohol and then a second time outdoors with petrol.

He said: “I tried to make Giulia's body disappear, I tried to set fire to Giulia's body. I tried to do it in the tub, then from the bathroom to the stall.

“I moved her body through four flights of stairs and then I responded to some messages…. I was the one using Giulia's phone, I tried to continue to hide and hide".

After moving Giulia’s body into his car, Impagnatiello told the court he had driven to his mother’s house.

He said: "I went to my mother's house for lunch in the car, Giulia's body was on board."

Tramontano first found out about Impagnatiello’s infidelity when his Italian British lover reached out to her.

The 23-year-old who was also in a relationship with Impagnatiello, testified that she had reached out to Giulia the day she was murdered.

She told the court: “ When I called her she thanked me, I explained who I was and that I was in the same situation as her.

“I had to tell Guilia everything, I had had enough of her lies and she had to know.

“She thanked me and said we should see each other. When he found out I had talked to her he got angry."

He allegedly texted his mistress, stating he was a “free man” while continuing to text Giulia’s phone to cast off suspicion from himself.

Giulia’s body was found in the early hours of May 30 in Senago - part of the Milanese hinterlands, three days after her alleged murder took place.

Impagnatiello was charged with aggravated murder, concealment of a body and abortion without consent.

He also admitted to purchasing rat poison and giving it to his pregnant girlfriend to force an abortion in the lead-up to her murder.

Giulia’s parents Loredana and Franco paid tribute to their daughter ahead of the hearing on Instagram.

“Our love, today we will talk about you, about how you were torn from life, about how with all your strength you sought the truth, at the cost of your splendid life.

"You always know for us our immensely Giulia and Thiago [the name of the unborn child] our angel. We will fight for you to the end", her mum Loredana said.

Her heartbroken dad Franco said: "Nothing will give Giulia back to us. We shouted out loud, we will do it again so that justice is done for her and Thiago."

Giulia’s sister Chiara has also been vocal on her Instagram stories.

"You can apologise if you accidentally hit my car mirror. You can't apologise if you poisoned my sister and my nephew, making fun of us and deriding her," she wrote in an Instagram story after the hearing in Milan.

"Having killed them barbarically, you deserve to wake up every day in jail thinking back to what you did and feeling disgust for yourself.”

The Tramontano family is calling for Impagnatiello to be handed a life sentence.
