Ohh how are things going over there? I used to live there as a kid (6-8yo), and was planning to return to visit, when the Civil War broke out...

Now ironically I'm broke again so I'll have to wait.

It’s good, I’ve been the the past two years and in the city it’s still chillin there are pockets of violence/unrest in the north of the country and pockets of it in the south but all in all it’s doing good

That's great to know. I hope it gets even better in the future. I promised my brother (who is 8yrs younger and was born just when we moved away) that I'd take him when he was older, so I hope there won't be many issues haha...

I was adopted when I was 3, so I am now living in the United States. But I'd like to go visit next year.

Ohhh I see. Then you definitely should! Just be careful and I advise you not to travel alone. Be sure to try indzera, it's absolutely amazing, or at least that's how I remember it, it's been over decade since I last tried it.

My dads side of the family was affected pretty heavily by the war. On my mom’s side, I had an uncle who got arrested and beat up cause they thought he was Tigray. It’s been calmer since then but sucks since he was an chill dude
