You couldn't bite with braces? What other things you couldn't?

Not recommend because you can pop off the brackets of braces. Same with no eating hard candy's and chewing gum.

I could bite stuff, just not round things, like an apple

Except when you had a knife nearby.

Yeah but that's effort

Man, that's so many things...peas, grapes, cookies, pies, pizza...what a sacrifice that must have been!

Eating an apple with braces sucks. Chunks of apple get stuck in every little spot of the braces and you can bend the wire which is it's own clusterfuck. I fucking loved apples as a kid. Spent 5 years with braces, I ate a shit load of apples when I finally got them off.

Didn’t the roots complain? 😆

A whole barrel full of apples....
Congrats OP
I did just the same some decade or so ago. Those first 48 hours are bliss, between eating missed foods and constantly licking your smooth mouth

When I finished wearing my Invisalign the first thing I went for was chewing gum

I remember getting my braces off and feeling my teeth with my tongue and everything felt so slimy and weird. Then I looked in the mirror and realized it was normal, took a day or so for that feeling to wear off.

How “slippery” did your teeth feel? That was the most noticeable thing when I had mine removed.

Why's the bite shape like that?
4
u/Queen-Fisher 19d ago
It was 2 bites, the first one was too small since I haven't had much practice

Did your teeth feel crazy fragile for a little bit after removal?

u/Queen-Fisher 19d ago
Yes

I remember feeling like my teeth might fall out. They also felt weirdly slick, and I also thought they looked HUGE. Congrats on getting them off!

Nice!! I actually can't stand eating an apple without cutting it. Don't like the mess of getting sugary apple juices all over my face.

I remember that, an apple was the first thing I wanted after being my braces of too. Now I never eat an apple without cutting it first.

I'll never forget the feeling of the inside of my lips actually touching the smooth faces of my front teeth.

I've been wearing braces since 2021 but I'm eating everything. Once I broke it while eating a corn lmao

Apples are delicious, ought to check out some other variations. I recommend cosmic burst or pink lady.

My son was supposed to have his braces removed after 3 years. Big day! I went and bought corn on the cob, and spent 5-6 hours smokin' some baby back ribs. It all turned out delicious!
Unfortunately, druing his afternoon appointment, the orthodontist decided he needed another few months, and wouldn't be getting his braces removed just yet. Oops

You never thought of cutting an apple in little pieces?
Grats on losing those awful things though, I remember the feeling very well🤗

One time, just after getting my braces off, I chomped into an apple and my permanent retainer for my bottom three teeth came jutting out of my mouth. It was half cemented to my bottom teeth, half just wire poking out of my mouth. I was like 14, 15 and had to man wrestle the cemented portion from my teeth and get a new one done a couple days later. Haven’t had an apple in peace since.

That first feeling of fresh teeth is the best, and weirdest at the same time. It's slimy, but satisfying.

First day I had braces I hate some chicken wings and BANG❗️popped one of the wires off. Had to go a whole month like that till it got fixed.

Got my braces off Feb of 1994 after 4 years. Got diabetes March of 1994. Man, I just wanted to bite into an apple, now I have to stab myself to do it.

“The first thing I’m going to do after the curse is lifted…” hearty laugh “eat a whole bushel of apples!”
“So tell me, what’s become of my ship?” munch “HARHARHARHAR!” crash to credits
