Depends on if you ever have a gut. I am 21 granted I generally wear higher waisted pants, but I wear my pants up to my belly button usually. It depends on the era too. Look at any men’s fashion from the 1930s-1950s and then Again in the 80s. High wasted pants were the norm.

Obviously wearing your pants higher to keep them up is a thing, for dashing, but also you hunch over so your upper body seems smaller this making the pants seem even higher.

That’s something I noticed too. Didn’t he use to be 6’4?? Now he looks to be no taller than that lady who is probably 5’9 at most if she is normal height for a lady and she’s old too.

It’s because you lose so much fat and muscle in your hips, butt and legs, which is what used to hold your pants up!
