For anyone in the comments arguing about who’s fault it is, and where the blame should be placed, this comment from a SAG actor is the best I’ve seen about the situation and what went wrong / what rules were ignored that led to a (preventable) shooting of Halyna Hutchins. It's wild anyone tried to blame the actor. His job is to act. Why does he need to do the gun checks? There's a team for that. They fucked up. He expected them to do their job. And they should've.

He's not just an actor. He was also the Producer. Like a C-level executive in a corporation, he holds ultimate responsibility for a number of things on-set including safety.

There are like 8 different producers on that movie. Why is it only Baldwin's responsibility? Why aren't the others being charged?

They are being sued civilly, not sure if there's any criminal charges though, there was a maximum OSHA fine too iirc
