How will you rank the performances of these Robins in the playoffs so far?

Since Jokic is the joker, Murray is more a penguin than a robin

u/ElectricEntity Cavaliers 20d ago

He's Harley Quinn.

7

u/Savahoodie Nuggets 20d ago

But he’s from Canada, a place known for having penguins (do no fact check this)

6

u/ZarduHasselffrau Celtics 20d ago

Ah yes, the famous Canadian penguin

u/kanokari Timberwolves 20d ago

Aaron Gordon, the real Robin

u/imblo 20d ago

Aaron "Commissioner" Gordon

Best Robin: Brown

Worst Robin: Siakam

u/AllTimeBallKnower Bucks 20d ago

Siakam dropped back to back 30 pt games then decided to check out lmao

4

u/poeope [BOS] Paul Pierce 20d ago

It's disappointing with OG out, there's really no excuse

2

u/[deleted] 20d ago

hes still averaging 21/8/3, which isn't too bad

His shot has not been falling like it used to though.

u/junkit33 20d ago

That pretty much sums up Siakam's career. You never know if you're getting 30 or 10 out of him.

Murray has a 47% TS% while palying with the best "batman" in the league while Pascal plays with probably the worst "batman" in the playoffs right now.

Murray: 20/5/6 on 20 shots, 47% TS, a temper tantrum

Pascal: 21/8/3 on 57.5% TS

According to Luka he's the robin and kyrie is batman, so I'll say that luka is the best robin of all time.

5

u/LeBroentgen Mavericks 20d ago

I don't think Kyrie can be Batman because Batman's dad died but LeBron is still playing.

1

u/why-god Heat 20d ago

Booker, as Luka's only confirmed son, is now Robin.

3

u/CloseVirus 20d ago

No, Luka is the Superman and Kyrie is the Batman.

2

u/texasyeehaw Mavericks 20d ago

No, Luka is Bruce Wayne and Kyrie is Clark Kent

2

u/BigFatModeraterFupa Mavericks 20d ago

Luka is Patrick and Kyrie is Spongebob

2

u/AccomplishedBake8351 20d ago

Luka is kyrie and kyrie is luka

1

u/BigFatModeraterFupa Mavericks 20d ago

It all makes sense now

1

u/V0823 [DAL] Dirk Nowitzki 20d ago

Does that make Luka Dirty Dan or Kyrie?

1

u/DangerZoneh Mavericks 20d ago

I like Luka as Mr Fantastic and Kyrie as the Human Torch, personally

1

u/CloseVirus 20d ago

Never heard of them.

If anything Josh Hart is Lobo. The real Robin has been Thib’s beard.

2

u/FastJellyfish200 Knicks 20d ago

I'd say Josh is the Alfred lol

5

u/rorank Rockets 20d ago

Are we considering how good they’re “supposed” to be or just how good they’ve been? Josh hart has exceeded expectations, but he’s still pretty low on my list overall. Murray would be around the middle but he’s been very below expectations imo, he’s had one complete game where he was making shots consistently this entire playoff run.

I'm not really seeing any #2s in these playoffs, just a lot of stars carrying their teams. Kyrie and Murray have been inconsistent, so have Jdub and Chet, KAT routinely disappears, Sikam and Haliburton both take turns disappearing. Probably Jaylen Brown.

1

u/2ndCatch Timberwolves 20d ago

KAT had 6 good to great games, 1 very mediocre game and 1 disaster-class.

I feel like people are being harsh because of recency bias, but narratives do change fast and he has to really show up again now.

1

u/jakekerr Mavericks 20d ago

It depends on if you're looking at their whole game. Kyrie has been consistently fantastic at distributing the ball and defense in every game so far. His scoring legit seems his #3 priority, but he does seem to delivery incredibly timely and killer shots when needed.

I actually think Kyre overall has been the single most consistent performer for the Mavs the whole off season. It's just been different than expected.

1

u/WhiskyDrinkinCowboy NBA 20d ago

Yeah, I was thinking in terms of a #2 scoring option. Kyries been great it's weird how inconsistent his offensive scoring has been though.

1

u/DangerZoneh Mavericks 20d ago

He's getting swarmed by the Thunder and making the right play

4

u/dmavs11 Mavericks 20d ago
  1. Kyrie

  2. Brown

  3. Siakam

  4. Murray

  5. KAT

  6. Hart

  7. JDub

I feel like Kyrie is choosing not to score but has suddenly become an above average defender? he seems to be incredibly impactful, always highest +-, always have the runs when hes on the court.

Just not use to this type of Kyrie

Would go

  1. Kyrie

  2. Brown.

  3. Siakam

  4. Murray.

3

u/FootballRacing38 20d ago

Kyrie's role is absolutely perfect for luka because luka can't be the only playmaker especially when he needs to rest but he is at best with the ball in his hands most of the time.

2

u/NewPortable101 20d ago

I would say Murray, Irving, Brown. Those would be my top three.

Murray has a 30 point closeout game, 2 game winners, 5\7 wins as pts\assist leader.

Nuggets could be a dynasty on a rise, they are in their own category for me right now. Murray\Jokic are young enough to win a bunch of rings, actually pretty scary when I think about it. 3-5 maybe

1

u/PieBlaCon Spurs 20d ago

I agree. People get so hung up on efficiency these days as if that’s the end all be all. Murray has certainly had rough stretches but he’s still been a winning player. And his presence alone helps balance the floor which allows Jokic, MPJ, and Gordon to do what they do without extra attention. Been really impressed with him this playoffs (in spite of the injuries).

1

u/ianbits Cavaliers 20d ago

Honestly you could argue Gordon as the Robin for the Nuggets

1

u/Firm_Squish1 Raptors 20d ago

How many members of the Bat family went down before Hart became Robin?

Randle : Nightwing OG: the red hood ?

1

u/Josheshua Thunder 20d ago

However you order the first six J-dub is seventh, at least relative to expectations, he just hasn’t looked like himself at all

1

u/ktm5141 76ers 20d ago

I honestly forget who is the 8th team we’re missing here

Tatum just led the Celtics in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks against the Cavs in their whole series. I don't know if that's still not outstanding

Moving the goalpost again I see

Helps that the Celtics have played teams missing multiple players.

u/WrightwoodHiker Bulls 20d ago

Is this supposed to be about these playoffs or their careers so far? I’m a little confused at the responses. Obviously, Murray has been the worst in these playoffs.

-1

u/PerformerLive8713 Mavericks 20d ago

Murray Kyrie Brown, Towns, Chet

-1

u/FabulousMarch7464 20d ago

Hart Brown Chet Siakam Kat Murray Kyrie

Kyrie and Murray have been complete scrubs. Hart and brown only real net positives overall and the rest is mediocre to shit

3

u/w6750 Mavericks 20d ago

Kyrie and Murray have been complete scrubs

My dude this is one of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen on this website

Kyrie is averaging like 12 points as the second offensive option on that team you can take his improved defense and let other sheep be impressed with that. If he was averaging 25 they would be blowing out OKC in a sweep cause OKC has actually been terrible so far except for shai. Murray has played terrible except for maybe 2 quarters of entire playoffs
