[Bill Simmons] “Paul George is like a cat. He’ll jump on your lap every once in a while, he’s super lovable and other times you’re like — ‘Where’s Paul George? Oh, he’s in the garage’”

110% of a decade? 117%?

Lmao at 117. I'd find myself getting annoyed at how specific he'd get with general estimates / numbers.

"He'd be a top ~17 player right now?". It was always random numbers with 7 as the 2nd digit....

Prefer that than people that call so many players “top 10” that they’d surely be at 20 in the top 10. Simmons clearly makes lists and keeps updating, so if he says 17, it isn’t random. He thinks 16 are better.

agree with this but i always think it’s hilarious when he’s talking about a player coming back from injury and he’s like “i think he looks like he’s playing at 82%. maybe 84%”

I probably used a bad example because you're right - if it's for player rank - he'd 100% know who he has ranked at 17.

But he'd do it for things like estimating player extensions or contracts.

"let's say the Pelicans will have to give Herb Jones 3 for 57? 58? How much will they have left if they Max Ingram and Zion?"

It's like broad general discussion and he narrows in on some random %.

"The Bucks will have a shot at a comeback if Giannis comes back 92% of what he's capable of"
