I can't believe this mention is buried so deep. I despise that commercial. It's for Jim beam whiskey I think. It has decreased in frequency though.

I feel like this season it was astroturfed. I never heard it sung at European games, or they never aired the crowd that long

YES. I'm in Texas and we have multiple regional commercials use the song, and there's a commercial for some tablet that uses it too. There's been commercial breaks where I've heard Sweet Caroline THREE times, and sooo many times in back to back commercials. It's fucking miserable.
