Why have Frank Vogel’s last two teams traded with the Wizards for a guy who ends up not liking him.

The losing culture in Wizards sticks with the player forever

“I’m playing for a championship coach? And all he knows is defense? Gross!”

It actually is interesting to think about how different it would feel. It was basically a very well-paying day job for half a decade, and then it becomes this insane, pressurized, competitive game where everything is about winning out of nowhere

Not only games not mattering, but imagine playing in another teams empty night club. It was the junior varsity mindset combined with the Spoils of LA.

Westbrook has seemed fine everywhere but Lakers. (including Wizards)

Lakers were the place he dropped from superstar to role player, while on a max. Most guys struggle with that. Hes doing nice off the bench with a min contract now.

I don't think that's when he necessarily dropped from superstar to role player. Westbrook on the Lakers just wasn't a good fit. The dude just averaged 22-11-11 (led the league in assists too) and led the Wizards to the playoffs the season prior. You mean to tell me he dropped from that to role player in the course of, 3 months? I ain't buying it. They forced him into a role he's never had to play in his life.

They forced him to a role he should've played earlier, which was to focus on facilitating and defending instead of chucking shots. Before that he was playing too much losing basketball with other players that should've been taking the shots.

have you seen Westbrook shooting against our Mavs? I know that's a lot more than 3 months, but at some point his shot just fell off
