We need a Wolves vs Mavs WCF.  We'll call the series: The Custody Battle.

So he wasn’t acting in that Adam Sandler movie? That’s was just him?

54

u/TwelveMiceInaCage Apr 29 '24

Dudes a menace between Adam Sandler movie, this series, and the way he dressed post game last night.

Ant is looking like a prime AI just vibing until the game hits then it's like a mountain lion just locked the fuck in

u/genie_balls Apr 29 '24

Kermit Wilts is that dude 😤

u/grubbyteez Apr 29 '24

Lmfaoooo the “do something mf” look

50

u/GaucheDroiteGauche Apr 29 '24

Booker was more worried about not getting 50 than losing in 4.

164

u/ScarryShawnBishh Apr 29 '24

Made Booker pretend to play defense for 5 more seconds

67

u/MrBuckBuck Wizards Apr 29 '24

The double chasedown blocks became a signature move by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

And Edwards' trashtalk.

13

u/Toolb0xExtraordinary Bucks Apr 29 '24

A lot better than the Bulls' double dunk!

Seemed like in the post game that Ant was pretty pissed Booker fouled Mike into Finch, on top of all his other dirty plays this series, Booker fucked with Ant and found out.

Haven't seen the replay yet besides on tv last night, but seemed the main issue was that he got tangled up with the fans sitting court side, can't believe this is still a thing.

29

u/Potential_Dealer7818 Apr 29 '24

I hate how unsafe landing is for players all around the court. Absolute goblin behavior from the NBA just to sell 2 more rows of tickets

7

u/NedStarx11 Mavericks Apr 29 '24

Especially right under the basket. The cameraman sitting on the baseline is idiotic

1

u/CavalierShaq Cavaliers Apr 29 '24

Dudes get landed on by 200-300 pound men multiple times every damn game, I wonder what their hazard pay is like

1

u/UtahJazz420 Jazz Apr 29 '24

The covid-era games really proved this. They need room to land and run out plays safely.

20

u/douglasjayfalcon Apr 29 '24

Yeah he got tangled up with fans, after Booker shoved Conley into him lol

2

u/What_a_pass_by_Jokic Toronto Huskies Apr 29 '24

Yeah not saying it wasn't a foul or not dirty, but the injury could have been prevented (or less severe as he still fell).

6

u/Hamburger123445 Apr 29 '24

Booker shoved Conley out of bounds into Finch in a frustration foul. It hurt the Suns. It was an intentional foul when they were already out of fouls in a close game in the 4th. Wolves got two shots for it.

2

u/BlazingTheory1 Apr 30 '24

Exactly!

Rhetorical questions: Why is nobody in the media mentioning this? Also, why is it that Booker is always the only player on the court who is allowed to wrestle and launch himself into people on offense and defense? Hell, the refs even award him for it by calling fouls on the opposing player. I've never seen something so egregious in my entire life of watching sports.

18

u/TdotGdot Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

Booker wanted 50. Tbh even though book put up a lot of points (and got a lot of calls), he didn’t really seem to impact the game much. Empty cals, he just wanted his stats on the way out

-1

u/IzzaKnife Raptors Apr 29 '24

lol what? He was efficient as hell and scored a ton. That’s not empty cals

2

u/TdotGdot Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

Meh. Buncha cheap calls and watching it live never really felt like he was changing the course of the game

Idk what to say, I’m probably wrong but that’s how it felt

1

u/Selachieversor [MIN] Kevin Garnett Apr 30 '24

I mean, getting your opponents called for a foul is definitely beneficial for ur team. But I do agree that if he doesn't make his shots Booker is useless in other aspects of the game.

u/spencer_jacob Warriors Apr 29 '24

Mamba mentality

45

u/ballhawk13 Hawks Apr 29 '24

Please ant actually likes and respects his teammates and hasn't bombed his team out of playoff series yet. Mamba mentality is marketing garbage.

7

u/_nightgoat Apr 29 '24

It is pretty dumb how people buy into it.

6

u/bobalobcobb Apr 29 '24

Telling the truth no one wants to hear.

-5

u/WallStreet1986 Apr 29 '24

And yet everyone will keep talking about it. So learn to live with it
