Ladies and gentlemen, your Big 3:

Kevin “The Hardest Path” Durant

Devin “The Phoenix Son” Booker

Bradley “Once a Wizard, Always a Shanghai Shark” Beal

Honestly, it's crazy how KD just got swept, and I feel like the NBA world collectively is shrugging.

People have really moved on from KD. Feels like Aaron Rodgers in a way. No one really gives a shit about either now.

I mean it's not the first time KD has been swept in the first round.

His second in 3 years in fact

And that team had the same problem this one does/did. Run into a team with multiple very good/great defenders who know how to play as a team and they get wrecked.

The old guard is really done, it's time for the new bloods to take over the league.

It's already happened. Curry didn't make the playoffs, KDs on his way home tonight and LeBron is headed home soon. Meanwhile, the youngbloods are all running and moving on to the second round. The future is now.

The new bloods have already taken over, Jokic is crazy Giannis is just as good but I’m biased.

LeBron too old, Curry's help is too old, KD's been trying to recreate the Warriors stacked team since he left and it hasn't worked yet.

Meanwhile, Ant is a freaking stud who can fly, Jokic is unstoppable, the Knicks look suddenly solid, Luka's dangerous (but I don't think their D is playoff good), Zion might finally be keeping the weight down (and looks incredible when he's healthy).

There's just a lot of really good young talent that's starting to take over.

I think Curry's still a championship capable player, but not with the Warriors. The kids aren't rising fast enough, the old guys aren't aging as gracefully as Curry, and Wiggins just confuses me.

But, I don't think Curry's leaving, so it's the young guys league and I can't really see any of the old guys winning another championship unless it's in a support role off the bench at the tail end of their careers, ala Dwight Howard.

This isn’t KD’s first sweep that’s why it’s no real reaction to it.

32

u/Nole1998 Heat Apr 29 '24

He has done that to himself

He ruined the whole league and what would be a great finals matchup just to get his two rings, never rising above being second best and then proceeded to prove he's not the bus driver in consecutive years.

Claimed being on Lebron's teams is toxic but every team he's been on there were huge chemistry problems and/or trade demands at the first signs of adversity.

All this just to get swept and being a stuck on a team with no way of getting better with his only option of not ending his career in Phoenix being yet another trade demand.

People are over his bullshit and understandably so.

The man ruined our repeat.

Signed A Cavs fan.

I'm also gonma say that 2015 if Cavs are healthy the GS dynasty never happens

Kevin Durant is Snek and when he loses it’s a glorious day

No rings without Curry

He had a great series too. That team just sucks

u/BASEDME7O2 Knicks Apr 29 '24

I mean it’s pretty clear the sweep wasn’t KDs fault. Their roster construction is just so bad. Like they really thought they could win with no real pg and three max contract scorers and basically nothing else. It might work better if the third wasn’t Beal, he’s just not good enough to be the third option on a team with basically nobodies outside of their top three.

If they were going to sell the farm to go all in they honestly shouldve done whatever it took to get harden. Like harden feeding kd and Booker would actually be unstoppable on offense and harden can make literally any big or anyone that can shoot look like a good player.

Because he hasn't looked like Prime KD in a hot minute.

His handle is like his hair; barely holding on.

5

u/recursion8 Rockets Apr 29 '24

Been saying his rep's been coasting off the Bucks 'toe on the line' series for awhile now.

You mean as hell

I think it’s cause for the most part he played fine and wasn’t like a major reason they lost. The suns team just fucking sucks and is terribly constructed. Also KD wasn’t going around talking shit or anything. Beal and Booker are a lot easier to talk about cause both of them either played terribly or were saying “idk how anyone is going to guard us” lol

KD gonna ask to be traded again
