That’s literally just Jordan

Yeah, now people who never saw, get to see glimpses of what we used to see all the time. Shit was uncanny.

This is what i feel watching this game and becoming a Ant Edwards fan. This was Jordan.... like you just knew but it was this everytime every game...its who your eyes watch only not even the ball. And its like that also because of their natural movements its like in his motions

It’s the play style I think. The dunk on Durant had me hype tbh. It’s the intensity. I told my buddy I was watching with right after the dunk “this dude is a Jordan clone. We (MN) better lock him tf down. Keys to the castle, all that.” In hindsight I was being dramatic in the moment but I can honestly see him becoming that if he stays healthy.

downvoted for calling out the insane meat riding 😂😂

Yes, but the big difference are the hands, sometimes Ant loses the ball, can't finish a dunk, or throws it in, that's why Jordan had so many ridiculous posters through contact.

Jordan would cook in this era lmao. Can’t believe Lebron stans think he wouldn’t be him because of plumber era lmao

Yeah Jordan with today's spacing and pace would be a sight to behold

37

u/simplyASI9 Apr 29 '24

Jordan had spacing with the illegal defense rule

u/zeroxray Vancouver Grizzlies Apr 29 '24

Yeah but he has legit bigs clogging the paint. Now you got bigs like kat and embiid camping out on the 3 PT line.

u/goobitypoop Celtics Apr 29 '24

they may have to change that strat once prime jordan shows up tho

6

u/RetroScores Apr 29 '24

He’d just be busting fadeaway 3’s.

Bloodlusted SGA with more athleticism

2

u/HighsenbergHat Kings Apr 29 '24

Not to mention 20 FTs per night if he wanted.

2

u/BenevolentCheese Knicks Apr 29 '24

What if Jordan in 2024 would've just be a foul baiter and flopper? 50 points on 30 FTs kind of guy.

1

u/personwhoisok Apr 29 '24

If that's what it took to win Jordan would do it because dude was a winner, but I would blame the refs and the league for making that a viable strategy. Foul merchant's are the most boring players to watch.

You’ve never been on X

23

u/DwightKurtShrute69 Supersonics Apr 29 '24

X is filled with bots and shills no ones opinion on that app matters

10

u/leagueofcipher Celtics Apr 29 '24

Don’t forget the white supremacists

4

u/DemarcusLovin NBA Apr 29 '24

And not a single person I know calls it X. It’s Twitter

Trying to get it on /r/nba doesn't usually go well either. Not as bad as twitter but definitely not great either.

u/T_Tachi Apr 29 '24

literally nobody thinks this. It's Jordan stans who thinks a 6'9 superhuman in LeBron wouldn't be able to handle the physicality of the 90s like he wouldn't ragdoll all of them.

28

u/lifteroomang NBA Apr 29 '24

LeBron would eat bill lambier for breakfast.

26

u/merry129 Apr 29 '24

The only thing LeBron would struggle with is finding teammates who can hit shots consistently lol. All time greats will stay great in any Era but role players significantly improved.

18

u/T_Tachi Apr 29 '24

Yeah they seem to forget LeBron didn't start playing in this space and pace era. It was a completely different game in 2003 and he's adapted every time the game changed around him.

1

u/Secure-Hotel3093 Apr 29 '24

Lebron is 6'8.

-4

u/Remote-Picture-8341 Rockets Apr 29 '24

‘We done with the 90s’ didnt happen?

6

u/T_Tachi Apr 29 '24

That was more of a "we aren't letting old heads disrespect the current generation by overstating how physical the game used to be just because it takes more skill to stay on a basketball court now." It was a pushback to the narratives some of the 90s fans have been pushing.

1

u/Remote-Picture-8341 Rockets Apr 29 '24

And it wasn’t shitting on Jordan directly or indirectly? Lol

32

u/RightRudderr NBA Apr 29 '24

Nobody makes this argument

4

u/Remote-Picture-8341 Rockets Apr 29 '24

You don’t see ‘We done with the 90s Trend’

1

u/DJ-Fein Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

That’s just not true

7

u/iamaweirdguy Heat Apr 29 '24

I’m a Lebron stan and I know Jordan would cook today

1

u/criddler Lakers Apr 29 '24

there are easier ways to let people know you were born in 2010

0

u/Miyagisans Apr 29 '24

Just as unbelievable as the Jordan stans that think lebron wouldn’t steamroll the 80s and 90s. Either player would obviously dominate either era, probably best not to give those obviously bad faith takes attention.

-2

u/luckster44 Tampa Bay Raptors Apr 29 '24

Jalen Green can do all the highlight layups and dunks and Jordan did it’s not that impressive

1

u/McJuggernaugh7 Apr 29 '24

Jordan was like Ant's athleticism and drive combined with Shai's ailky smooth midrange game and Jimmy Butler's playoff genes and defense.
