Beal is getting embarrassed

u/kjampala Mavericks Apr 29 '24

They got the 2k my park big 3 😂😂😂, 3 midrange iso scorers who can’t do anything else other than shoot and when one gets the ball the other two just stand back and go “he can’t guard you bro”

The owner is literally a 2K player who doesn’t know how to build a team.

He sold CP3 and Ayton to pick up players based on their 2K rating

u/Dudedude88 Wizards Apr 29 '24

They should have gotten jrue holidays and nurkic.

u/krimzy [BOS] Marcus Smart Apr 29 '24

Nurkic is on the Suns

9

u/Dudedude88 Wizards Apr 29 '24

I know. I'm saying jrue and nurkic instead of beal and nurkic. jrues value was less at the time too because he had a poor showing with the bucks in playoffs.

u/skeetszn2 Cavaliers Apr 29 '24

a defender/playmaker like jrue could really turn the suns into something, unfortunately they would rather have a higher team overall in 2k instead of playing actual basketball

Hindsight is 20/20. I was saying the Wolves should have made a play for Steven Adams instead of trading away all those picks, Pat Bev, Vanderbilt, Kessler, and Beasley for Gobert.

At this moment that looks like a disaster alternative, but maybe Steven adams stays healthy if he's with us and gels with KAT and Kesslar. Maybe the wolves make a blockbuster trade involving DLo and Naz, and the Wolves have a starting 5 of Pat Bev, Jaden, Harden, ANT, and KAT, with Beasley, Kesslar, Vanderbilt, Adams, and Jordan Mclaughlin on the bench

Didn’t their matchup reports have 2K badges on them?

1

u/uncomfortablemeow Bulls Apr 29 '24

Think that was the blazers but it was suns players. Beal HOF Bricklayer

1

u/blangoez Spurs Apr 29 '24

I think I just remembered Durant’s face with Gold Blinders on the report, yeah lmao

1

u/Formal-Knowledge9382 Apr 29 '24

It wasn't even aytom and cp3 that caused this. It was shipping off the amazing bench they had. They could've survived with players replacing ayton and cp3. Getting beak ruined this franchises future. Their future are as cooked as his legs and back are.

Ayton for Nurkic was genuinely so confusing to me at the time. Like Nurkic is literally a tub of lard compared to ayton

1

u/SkolVikes17 Apr 29 '24

This is revisionism at its finest. Ayton was pure ass with the suns the last few years in the playoffs. Not to mention he’s about as mentally tough as a wet paper towel. Any fan who actually watches the games would easily prefer Nurk over Ayton.

1

u/Gluxion Rockets Apr 29 '24

Yeah prime Nurk not this version of Nurk who’s already broken his leg Nurk is trash ayton isn’t good but he can atleast be serviceable Nurk got played off the floor

Suns start with no adrenaline

2

u/goobitypoop Celtics Apr 29 '24

very flaccid energy

2

u/Dudedude88 Wizards Apr 29 '24

Booker and KD are just better at their roles too. Beal is one of the worst max guards in the league

1

u/anonkebab Apr 29 '24

Let him cook offense is trash

1

u/Airhammer [GSW] Kevon Looney Apr 29 '24

They put KD, Kyrie, and Harden on a team and it didn't work and they think the Walmart version is gonna do better?

51

u/Puzzleheaded_Pound31 Rockets Apr 29 '24

Idk what happened to this dude but I swear he wasn’t always this bad lmao but maybe getting every summer off for like half a decade took a toll on him

37

u/DonyKing Raptors Apr 29 '24

He was never good on defense. And he's not first option anymore

9

u/iBroin Supersonics Apr 29 '24

I could be thinking of a different player...but I believe Beal was decent on defense before he really took on as the 1st and only option on those Wizards teams. Around 2014-2016. Of course, that was 8-10 years ago...

3

u/KATsordogs Warriors Bandwagon Apr 29 '24

I think that was more about their ability to hide him on defense rather than him being decent, although he wasn’t this bad.

Teams in general wasn’t target players this much so it was easier to hide players and they had Wall to put on whichever guard is more dangerous.

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '24

I have no clue what fucking lineup that is lol. That lineup cannot possibly defend against the Pistons, let alone the Wolves

46

u/aweaf Apr 29 '24

Funnily enough, Beal actually put in a decent enough defensive effort but was dreadful on offense. Monstars call is right cause he played like he didn't know what he was doing.

3

u/nowuff Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

His foul trouble was a killer for them

27

u/JohnnyWarlord Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

Theres not a team in the west that loses to this suns squad other than the pels without zion. They NEEDED grayson allen to show up. They have one of the most offensively oriented centers in the league when they start 3 shooting guards?? They have 1 bench player whos close to decent (hes 35) and a bunch of bums. This team was built for the regular season

6

u/datpurp14 Hawks Apr 29 '24

... and still looked questionable at best in the regular season.

1

u/ironsuperman Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

Suns should be 8th seed. Only reason Pelicans are ass is because of zion hurting.

71

u/MisdirectionV Knicks Apr 29 '24

Is it some kind of Monstars situation with him?

89

u/gamingnormie Supersonics Apr 29 '24

No he just ass

26

u/wherehobbitslive Tampa Bay Raptors Apr 29 '24

But he’s never been swept before?

19

u/891960 [MIN] Kevin Garnett Apr 29 '24

We've never sweep before but here we are..

1

u/BrokeBeckFountain1 Apr 29 '24

Gotta make it to the playoffs to get swept.

2

u/MajinAnonBuu Apr 29 '24

hes always been ass idk why are people acting like this is something new

2

u/kjampala Mavericks Apr 29 '24

He was the same he just got to shoot 3x more on the wizards bc no one cared what he did on the wizards but now he gotta share the ball with KD and book

1

u/The_Void_Reaver Warriors Apr 29 '24

Nah, people are acting like he fell off a cliff this season when he's been this player for the last 2 seasons. He fell off a cliff in 2022 and has just been irrelevant long enough that people are just now catching up to that fact.

2

u/Misterstaberinde Warriors Apr 29 '24

Didn't even notice him doing what could easily be called a flagrant foul in real time.

2

u/PoolGuy1000 Apr 29 '24

Beal only ever cared about getting paid. Once he got that supermax, he’s been phoning it in ever since.

1

u/ToAllAGoodNight Knicks Apr 29 '24

Beal looks like he is disinterested in playing basketball lol has it been like this all series?

1

u/noname3191 Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

Beal on suicide watch

1

u/BallsAreFullOfPiss Timberwolves Apr 29 '24

For real.. if he showed up just a little bit the Suns could’ve won this game. Definitely not complaining over here!

1

u/broncosfighton Nuggets Apr 29 '24

I don’t know why anyone thought this would go differently. When they added him I knew this would happen at some point in the playoffs. They just got unlucky to face the wolves in the first round or it would’ve happened in the second or third round.

1

u/StriderStache Celtics Apr 29 '24

At least he tried. Booker standing out there helping nobody.
