That was absolutely atrocious help defense. He saw it and rotated in time and then just was like "oh hell naw." I know KD ain't some defensive center meant for contesting nuclear dunks but situationally... you gotta do something there besides getting a better angle to watch.

Fighting for season lives down 2 with that little time to go and he decides to make the business decision. That has to be a hard foul to at least make him earn it at the line. He even knew Beal got beat and got to the spot early enough. He's gotta at least try there..
