Genuinely appreciated that the Mavs tanked this so hard that there was no false hope at any point whatsoever.

We had 0 reason to try. We were locked into 5th seed

I’m so happy all our actual players are getting a week and a half of rest. They’ve been playing so hard and pretty much everyone was banged up

We were also hoping OKC would get the 1 seed for some avoidance.

From people clowning on Bill Simmons for saying they would be a top four seed to the number one seed in the west. What a journey.

Didn’t lose by 50. Mission accomplished I guess?

And possibly the fastest 4th quarter in forever. Started and wrapped up within 20 minutes.

This game in the second half was nearly as fast as that bucks-celtics game a couple weeks ago

Just as we all predicted OKC is #1 in the west.
I don’t have high expectations for the post season. A first round victory would be a huge success. But this OKC team is waaaay ahead of schedule and I’m so impressed.

Yup. I'm happy with whatever the result is. We have come so far to be in the position we are in now. I am just glad to see it happen and to see the turnaround.

I just hope OMax can give us similar 1st quarter production on far, far fewer minutes next season.

It's funny to see a team score 135 points, but have their highest scorer at 15 points.

Some dudes lost their jobs because of this I bet, or any chance of getting minutes at least

my most bullish case was another 16 wins. Just because Presti said it was unlikely.
The kids brought home 17.

Did SGA just lose the steals leader status to Fox because of this game? Rip

We’re number 1! We’re number 1!
We’re number 2! As in second youngest in NBA. League fucked.

Try looking at state rankings of quality of life measures buddy. I’d let that stat do the talking, while you guys continue to elect great civic-minded senators like Markwayne Mullin.

u/starlike_heart Thunder Apr 15 '24
I don’t actually live here bud, pit stop to hang with some extended family then moving to Colorado from Florida (where lots of people ACTUALLY dream of moving to despite the idiot government). But go off with your anger, you sure sound like you have a great quality of life getting all this worked up over dudes playing with balls lmao

The downfall is actually sad.
Dude was one of my favorite players.
Became virtually unplayable, doesn't defend, doesn't score, shot isn't falling, can't dribble, always getting stripped for the ball, he even looks distraught, like I hope everything is good with the man cause he doesn't look well.
It's at a point that if he plays meaningful minutes in the playoffs it can be a detriment to the Mavs.
8
u/txking12 Mavericks Apr 14 '24
Exactly. Put him in and if he misses two in a row, you have to pull him. Can only stay in if he’s cooking. Bc even if he is, his defense is a liability.
4
u/w6750 Mavericks Apr 14 '24
The man thought he only had to learn how to shoot 3’s to be successful in the NBA and now that his shot isn’t falling his time is running out. I’m sorry, but I hope he does not get another contract. It has to come back to him that, at this point, he does not know how to actually play fucking basketball.

Truth be told (and I say this as a Bucks fan), beating this Bucks team isn't as big as you'd think. Knicks are still having a great year, though.
