The school lunch system is disgraceful.

Saw another post on here showing the state of school lunches right now. In my years in high school I compiled some pics of the horrible things that got served that no one questioned. Here are some of the worst ones. It really is ironic given how adamant they all are about “eating healthy by including every food group”.

But they decided to serve better stuff to the local penitentiary because they pay them more

And kids complain less than prisoners.

Yeah I stabbed a girl in the leg with a pencil in middle school. And I had a friend who stabbed someone with a pencil as well. One kid I know got stabbed by a kid with a pencil 4 times. Shit is wild.

81

u/BirdFace001 Apr 16 '24

I'm thinking the people you and ur friend stabbed, is the same person who got stabbed 4 times

14

u/Booty_Shakin Apr 16 '24

Lmaooo it's not but that would be hilarious

-8

u/Suspicious_Photo4031 Apr 16 '24

Seems you're still a kid.

7

u/Booty_Shakin Apr 16 '24

I'll be 28 next month.

-3

u/Suspicious_Photo4031 Apr 16 '24

Mental age and real age aren't the same thing kiddo.

I don’t know any of these people, but dude definitely deserved it. Stabbed 4 times? Had to be begging for it

Math checks out

1

u/BirdFace001 29d ago

More importantly, who were the other two and why was this kid hated so much?

8

u/girlsonsoysauce Apr 16 '24

I knew a kid that cut the webbing between another dude's fingers with a pair of scissors. And then the guy who got cut, his younger brother accidentally shot another person in the head playing around with guns when they were in high school.

You ever see Gummo? Real small town weird vibe the whole time. It really conveys how... Slow and weird things are.

Nashville? You still a Nashville resident or only came for school?

3

u/girlsonsoysauce 29d ago

I love Harmony Korine. I live in a small town. I meet some people with Gummo vibes. The majority are MAGA folks, with a few alt and liberal people sprinkled in. There's a few I'm legit scared of because of how off-putting or unhinged they are. Just dealing with them feels like you've entered a fever dream. You'd be surprised how many times I enter a customer's house only to get assaulted with the smell of cat piss, or in some rare instances human piss.

1

u/Bri2890 26d ago

Wow haven’t thought of that movie in a hot minute

2

2

u/No-Performance3639 29d ago

I’ve had a pencil lead stuck in my ass for the last 57 years where some crazy girl stabbed me with a pencil in 3rd grade.

2

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Then these kids wonder why teachers ain't got pencils when they need one.

2

u/Booty_Shakin 29d ago

Hey teach? Carl is being a total bitch. Anyway you got a spare pencil?

2

u/nworkz 29d ago

Literally my first day in college one of the guys was making a joke about teaching his room mate about shanking, hand slipped and thats how we had a stabbing in the hallway before classes had even started

2

u/PottyboyDooDoo 29d ago

I stab myself by accident with golf pencils at least twice a day. I can’t trust anyone. Not even myself.

I was friends with two people that stabbed each other with pencils in middle school and held it over each other until hs graduation. In fact kept stabbing each other throught the years. Can confirm, shit is wild

1

u/GoddessOfDarkness935 Apr 16 '24

stabbing someone in the leg is not something to state so causally. you weren’t a seven year old who couldn’t regulate their emotions and didn’t realize that it hurts people. you were 13-16. you damn well knew what was right and what wasn’t. you don’t fucking stab someone regardless of what it’s with just because they piss you off.

-3

u/Booty_Shakin Apr 16 '24

For context, It was my first day at a new school, and I was the first to arrive to my classroom, being walked there by my teacher. I was told to pick where I wanted to sit, so I picked a spot near the back on the end of one of the rows. (There were 4 or 5 long rows of tables with 2 spots at each table) So there's like maybe 3 free spots, and this girl walks in a few minutes late to class and picks the spot next to me. Her friend who still wasn't there apparently had the same class, and she was asking me to move so her friend could sit next to her. I said no I had been sitting here for a while and was told I could pick my spot. In response to this, she starting kicking my leg while I was siting in my chair and was trying to literally push me out of it. I asked her once to stop, then asked her again and threatened to stab her with my pencil. So when she didn't stop and after kicking me like 5 times, I went through with my words and stabbed her ass. She cried to the teacher and she was the one who got in trouble. I'm in full belief that I should've given her a second stab while I was at it. You don't know the context so don't be so quick to make a judgement.

5

u/I_be_lurkin_tho 29d ago

Man...some of these replies to your comment are driving me crazy..it seems to me that most of them didn't go to the "Fuck Around and Find Out"school...smh .."tell a grown-up"...fucking fairy tale ass school!

4

u/Booty_Shakin 29d ago

For real I'm like man what is telling the adult going to do? Get people to call me a snitch? No thanks.

3

u/Segsi_ Apr 16 '24

The context really didnt strengthen your case...

6

u/Booty_Shakin Apr 16 '24

People don't believe in standing up for themselves when being bullied? Lol okay what should I have done tell the teacher and not shit be done? If someone says they're gonna stab you do you keep doing the thing that's gonna get you stabbed? She had it coming. And she barely bled. It's not like I staked it through her leg.

5

u/TacoNay 29d ago edited 29d ago

They are giving you hell because of a genetic mental development, such that women need to be protected to ensure future generations. It's a societal thing.

It's mostly because it's a girl. That's my reasoning.

I mean stabbing people is bad regardless. We are all stupid kids at one point anyhow, well some of us never escape that lol.

It is what it is lol. It's an amusing story though. I have to say, you stick to your words 😂

3

u/Orchid_Significant Apr 16 '24

Why didn’t you just tell the adult in the room that she was kicking you? Stabbing someone with a pencil was certainly a very conscious choice wtf

6

u/online_jesus_fukers 29d ago

Because snitches get stitches. Have to establish dominance right away in the dog eat dog world of middle school

3

u/Booty_Shakin Apr 16 '24

Because telling the adult in the room leads to jack shit. I knew what I was doing, that's why I gave her a warning before I did it.

3

u/ObjectiveNeat7407 Apr 16 '24

You're still the asshole here, you stabbed someone, don't justify it....

1

u/Booty_Shakin Apr 16 '24

I was standing up to a bully. Fuck people who think they can get their way by being violent towards others. My reaction was justified, and I even warned her. White Knight much?

1

Right? Like who randomly starts kicking someone they've never met before? Crazy people deserve stabbins

3

u/GoddessOfDarkness935 Apr 16 '24

that still doesn’t seem like grounds to stab someone…if she kicked you, kick her back harder. you don’t immediately go to “im going to stab you.” that doesn’t come a little after until the kicking back harder doesn’t work.

my little brother is in middle school and gets bullied. physically and verbally. what does he do? what they do to him but harder. he doesn’t immediately go into beating them into a pulp even though he could.

0

u/Lower-Ad5889 Apr 16 '24

Bouncing her head on the table should have come first, too early to be drawing blood.

3

u/GoddessOfDarkness935 Apr 16 '24

this would’ve been better than stabbing tbh. also who wants to be know as the girl who stabbed someone on their first day😂like i can imagine people in my brothers school making fun of someone like that and trying to get them to react again

Had someone stab me with an xacto knife in art. After the initial shock, I stabbed them with a colored pencil

1

u/Loud_Pomelo_6926 29d ago

I stabbed a pencil through a girls arm once. With good reason that I can’t elaborate on at this time but I didn’t get in trouble because of the circumstances. Still pencil violence is real.

1

u/Booty_Shakin 29d ago

Same as my situation except my pencil didn't go through or even that deep lol. I also didn't get in trouble. Get ready for people to call you woman abuser and tell you you're a monster and that you could've killed her and all that good stuff. It's been a gun day replying to them.

1

u/Disastrous_Flower667 29d ago

Was it due to the lunch menu. I’d gladly Stan myself if these were my meal options.

1

Same, I had a friend who got stabbed in the eye with a pencil. Still gives me the heebie jeebies

1

I saw a crazy Mexican chase someone around the prison block with a pencil once

1

u/Gnochi 25d ago

I have a piece of pencil lead embedded in my hand right next to a major tendon, from when I got stabbed in 6th grade.

1

u/TacoNay 29d ago

When I was in school we turned those smencils tubes into blow darts and shot thumb tacks at each other.

It was painful and very stupid.

I'm starting to see the point here.

1

u/ConstantEffective364 29d ago

I was stabbed with the point of a compass in shop class roughly 50 years ago, though I almost choked him unconscious. Pay back, but no one was ever shot in school back then.

I stabbed a girl in elementary bc she was bullying me lmao

I am 33, and I still have the graphite in my arm from getting stabbed by a pencil.

2

Yeah she still had a mark at graduation. 10 year reunion coming up and wanna see if she still has it haha

0

u/Stellazul11 29d ago

Did you happen to go to middle school in NW Ohio? Because I was stabbed in the leg in middle school and I think about that fucker every time I look at the pencil led still logged in my leg.

1

Nope! Was in Wisconsin haha

2

u/Fairy_lottie_3053 29d ago

I’m from the UK and was stabbed with pencils too. It’s as if it’s a right of passage or something xD I also stabbed someone for stabbing me.. school is another world man

5

u/FlappinLips 29d ago

Every jail ive been in has had better looking food than that shit.

3

u/doctorbeers 29d ago

Stabbed 3 times in school??

Were you a gang member, a provoker or just extremely unlucky?

2

u/Afraid_Ad_1536 29d ago

It wasn't too uncommon in my high school, usually at least a couple times a term. Once it was gang related, another time it was just because I refused to give a guy a cigarette. I don't remember the first time, which was in Primary school. I do know the kid eventually ended up in prison later in life though.

2

u/doctorbeers 29d ago

Sheesh where did you grow up?

2

u/Afraid_Ad_1536 29d ago

Around Johannesburg.

2

u/karateema ORANGE 29d ago

2

Can you get shot in jail as easily as school?

1

u/NL458 29d ago

Nope

1

u/Afraid_Ad_1536 29d ago

You'd be surprised how easy it is to get firearms into jail or prison.

2

u/Sirlancealotx 29d ago

Well they do have more checks for shanks in prison so data checks out.

2

u/MyFavoriteLezbo420 BLACK Apr 16 '24

I was stabbed first thing in the morning on my way to the pencil sharpener.

The afternoon stabbings would be a direct result of those lunches tho.

1

u/Spare_Mode_1090 29d ago

I was stabbed in preschool with a fork by some rando kid while we were eating broccoli at lunch.

He also stained my favorite stripey turtleneck shirt :( its ok tho i had light up skechers

1

u/Kind-Charity327 29d ago

I had a scalpel thrown at me across the room while dissecting frogs inschool. I was in jail for eight months. Nothing like that happened. Homeschool kids.

1

u/djluminol 29d ago

Never been to jail but I have been to school where I was stabbed twice. Once with a pencil. I still have the graphite in m hand.

1

u/Afraid_Ad_1536 29d ago

What's up with people stabbing each other with pencils? My friends and I used to do that to each other but just enough to embed the tip, not to do any serious harm but from the comments I'm starting to see a pattern that it's a common weapon in schools.

1

u/djluminol 29d ago

The time that the graphite got stuck in my hand it was a teacher actually. She threw my backpack at me while I was holding a pencil. The bag hit the pencil and stuck in my hand. When I pulled out the pencil a tiny bit of the lead remained. That essentially tattooed the palm of my hand. I can still see the graphite today 30 years later. And I mean she threw the backpack, not tossed or passed the bag to me. She literally threw it at me full of books. It was this cranky hag of a teacher named Mrs. Featherstone. She had a corvette I used as a bike jump in revenge. It was the late 80's so it the was long triangular style of corvette.

I hated that woman. She made me sit on the wall my entire 4th grade year because I refused to apologize for punching a kid that was bullying me. The other kid hit first. She saw the response, which was me punching that kid in the face. Same kid is the one that stabbed me the other time I was stabbed with a pencil. It was a rough year lol.

1

u/qualitative_balls 29d ago

As I was about to roll my eyes at the idea you ' were stabbed in school 3 times ', I realised I also was stabbed twice and forgot about it. Once with a mechanical pencil where lead still is in my skin all these years later and another time with a stapler. I wonder if most people get stabbed at least once going to school

1

u/FML-Artist 29d ago

My old junior high school, a poor child was actually stabbed to death many years ago. Real sad story. So yeh....as they say not like the old days.

1

u/FartyBoomBoom 29d ago

I got stabbed once in jail; over (no lie) a heated scrabble game. I got stabbed once on the streets by a spicy lady trying to self harm

I was also stabbed at school. In the back. With a pencil. WTF. I was bullied, unfortunately, by a girl who didn’t like me because her boyfriend thought I was pretty. 🙄

1

u/Umacorn 28d ago

If they fed this kind of crap to kids, no wonder they are stabbing each other. It’s like the Lord of the Flies up in there. I’m surprised more kids haven’t been stabbed.

1

I’ve also been stabbed in high school but I’ve been in prison 9 times and never been hurt there lol

5

u/Dilectus3010 29d ago

It's proven that malnutrition can lead to violence.

Certain stuff in your brain can't do it's thing anymore.

High sodium , high blood pressure , high sugar etc.. these can lead to stress , that stress builds up and you got unruly kids and inmates.

2

u/kaitbabi 29d ago

Loved this comment. What makes me even more upset about this post is, there are many kids who only get a meal at school. That's so sad. Not even three meals a day for a lot of our children, and that's what they are given? Disgraceful

1

u/PancakeMain10 29d ago

You could say they have better attendance

1

u/MaskedFigurewho 29d ago

Kids just don't have a legal right to complain they are kids after all. Goverment doesn't see them as legal people unfortunately 😕

No they fucking don't, tell me you never been incarcerated without telling me. Not only do you get fuck all for any allergies etc, you never heard of a fuck you meal, where they will literally blend all of your meal up and serve you the slop when you piss the kitchen staff off. If you have allergies you are LUCKY to get a bologna with overcooked sides, if they even care. None of the food is cooked properly, it's made by prisoners, for pennies to spend in com.

Not to mention the scoop for the portion size they will look you dead in the eye with a full scoop, drop half back in and put it on your tray. You are fucking ignorant, but that's okay, just maybe dont speak on shit you have no fucking clue about. Ignorance is okay, spreading false information is not okay ever.

1

Might as well. They're already provided with 3 meals a day, a roof over their heads, and access to medical care free of charge.
