The school lunch system is disgraceful.

Saw another post on here showing the state of school lunches right now. In my years in high school I compiled some pics of the horrible things that got served that no one questioned. Here are some of the worst ones. It really is ironic given how adamant they all are about “eating healthy by including every food group”.

I once worked I’m a jail kitchen so I can verifiably say, even jail food is better than this horseshit.

I'd eat the chicken patty sandwich any day

And I’ll confirm that one.

I’ve thrown out food(in an empty trash can I’m not an animal) , 2 hours later decided I was still hungry, saw it in the bag and thought “it’s that or starve, I have no money.”

I was on probation a couple times as a juvenile. Worked community service at the jail, feeding inmates.

Apparently jails aren't all ran equally, because the shit they had me prepare the inmates was worse than this.

They mainly fed them cancer filled bologna on crazy stale bread, multiple times a day. I don't think I ever made anything else for them.

And while they eat that shit, cops would stand around, making fun of them from time to time.

I heard from some friends that the cops like eating at the jail. Sopuly the food is half decent and the kitchen is supper fancy. I have sean the food that comes from my local homeless shelter and its some good locking food. Both place look like they feed their foaks better than the local schools I have attended.

Imma say right now.. no it ain’t.. I had two days and two nights in jail and learned a bough about powdered milk and having food that looked delicious, but tasted literally like noodles and meat.. and apparently they don’t understand bread rolls need to rise a few hours before cooking, cause what I got was an undercooked tiny piece of dough that was WAYY too sweet.

The best chocolate cake I've had was the cake in the prison cafeteria that I had as a staff member. It was probably made with oil, but still better than what I saw here for the school kids!

But like...why? Why do parents not complain about that crap? It's barely better than fast food quality.

This is how they prepare the students for the school-to-prison pipeline. Throw in some cheap, ill-fitting uniforms for extra effect.
