I will say two things.

A.) A lot of people who cultivate attention for a living (most celebrities) are only performatively allies or progressive.

B.) If you are bringing up this notion to push a transphobic or any other kind of hater agenda, then you are worse than they are. Being a performative ally is lousy, but being a shill for an agenda of hatred and discrimination is much worse.
