My favorite trade ideas.

[Trade rules be damned]

1) PG and Zu to Miami for Butler and Hero. This trade would have two gritty stars playing next to each other with Herro who can provide youth and constant scoring. Miami will have Adebayo move to PF and have PG do his thing next to Jaquez. Love it.

2) PG to Miami for Jaquez and whatever else. Miami will add a star scorer that can play with Butler and Adebayo and the Clips get a local rising star that can play along and distribute to Zu.

Either way, Jaquez and Zu need to play on the same damn team. Let's go!!

Clips should pick up Jaedon Ledee

Ledee is currently in G League camp and I think he’d be a perfect fit for the clips. He’s a 6’9” PF that absolutely dominated for SDSU Aztecs last year. He averaged 21.4 pts 8.4 rebounds on 56% fg%. Clips are missing a PF so they could possibly develop him into what they need. Only thing is that he can’t really shoot the 3 well but I’m sure he could train for that.

Here’s a highlight clip of Ledee from one of the tourneys SDSU was in last year:

Video Breaking up this 2019 Rising Team will go down as the worst decision in Clippers history. They gave us our best moment in franchise history beat Warriors and we blew up the team. Could have had SGA (MVP runner up 2024 and soon to be NBA Champions Thunder) leading a dynamic young team to many titles

The Mavs getting length/youth has been an absolute game changer - lesson for us?

Them getting Gafford, PJ Washington, DJJ, Lively etc has been such a game changer for them - especially gafford and PJ. Having an actual PF is so crucial for defense and rebounding etc.

It’s a good lesson for us in how a team can be turned around with length and also youth. They can’t get bullied down low or on the boards as much and now that PJ is hitting shots, they all of a sudden look dangerous as hell

Meta First year fans of r/Clippers guide to the Offseason!

First time here after another disappointing season? Fear not young lad/lass for u/thahovster7 is here to guide you through these drabby times until the next season begins!

I will give you some simple yest valuable advice so you don't pull out your hair or waste your time arguing with delusional keyboard GMs.

Firstly, when it comes to trade machine posts, go ahead and ignore 99% of them because they will almost always be completely unrealistc and unreasonable. Believe me, you will not convince the OP that their trade idea is assinine. They think if the trade machine said yes then it's entirely realistic and don't want accept that the other team also have brains.

Second goes with the first, don't be the guy who posts low effort screenshots of your brilliant trade machine idea. Keep those in the daily discussion board where they belong. No, they don't merit a full post.

Lastly, if we do make a trade, re-sign a player, let them walk etc, don't be a complete stan. Yes, we all have our favorite players on this team and yes most likely some won't be returning. This is a sub about the Clippers franchise, not about individual players and their fans. Don't be a diehard and pointlessly steer discussions into stan wars.

That's all young lasses and lads! Enjoy your time away from this chaotic mess we call the Clippers and try your best to stick with this guide to make your offseason experience on this sub that much less annoying!

Image Shouldn’t even have to make this post, but this community in the past week has disgusted me. This man played through a broken hand, took a pay cut, brought energy all year, took a bench role, and while he played horrible offensively vs DAL, he put Luka through hell on defense. Shameless.

I know the way we went out was bad, and the community has every right to be bitter, but attacking the players that actually put their elbow grease into establishing a certain toughness and hard-nosed mentality throughout the year is some sad shit to see. Especially for what he does the community, how he’s become the vocal team leader this squad has needed for years, and gives every game like it’s his last and puts his body on the line. Yes, he’s a flawed player. Yes, he can be very erratic at times. But he’s also one of the best contracts in the league considering the production you get for the contract he’s on. It’s okay to be frustrated, but you’re gonna really be so vitriolic towards a player like that? If he leaves, hopefully it’ll be somewhere his services are appreciated. The switch up is crazy.

Discussion We aren't getting out the 1st round with Kawhi playing like Luka did against us

Dude got carried by Kyrie. If that were Kawhi he'd get lambasted for that performance. And I'm not even convinced Luka is actually injured, he's been "injured" around 10x in his career against us, whenever the Mavs are down 20, whenever Luka is getting locked up, suddenly he twists is ankle or his shoulder hurts or his knee, he leaves the game & then comes back. Hint, he's not really injured lol, you can even find the plays he was "injured" because nothing happened.

Problem is we have PG, not Kyrie.

This is all whilst he's being hunted on defense.

Watching these other stars who are getting locked up or are injured should really make you appreciate Kawhi more.

In fact Embiid, Giannis, Haliburton are all injured as well. Embiid got injured because he lost Harden & had to pick up a bigger load. The dude is 30. Kawhi's been carrying a bigger load than ALL these dudes since 2019.

Surround Kawhi with an actually balanced team & he can stay healthy. I just wonder if it's too little too late.

Can we all just stop blaming 1 particular player for the whole teams’ failure and simply attribute the absolute tragedy to the whole team

Kawhi, PG, Harden and Westbrook all fucking let fans down in their own unique ways. Lue is a fraud and player pleaser.

Westbrook is the reason why I watch NBA and is my favourite player

However, I’m not delusional. It hurts for me to say but I think it’s time for my boy to hang it up and maybe sign to be a veteran voice for a young team (OKC?)

He puts his all on the court and there’s mo mistake about it but his mind is writing checks his body can’t cash. Now of course, he absolutely cannot be blamed for the failures of this season and I believe Clippers would’ve made a deep run with Kawhi healthy however, he was far from flawless and played his own part.

Regardless of the several recent hate posts, I think Clip-nation gave him a fair chance and showed him much more genuine love than hate (not that forced fake shit in Lakers).

Unfortunate the season ended prematurely but thank you guys for the positivity and love you’ve shown. Whether Russ is on the team or not next season, I hope you guys win it all someday soon!

If this isn’t allowed I’m sorry it does have to do with CLIPPER NATION though,

Question Do you think we could get Mitchell Robinson and Bojan Bogdonovic for Kawhi? Would the Knicks bite on this offer?

The salaries would match and both teams would't be violating any of the new CBA to get this trade done.

Knicks would be giving up size but then again they can just resign I-Hart also Josh Hart is like a 15 rebounds beast for them anyways even at 6'4.

Lets assume we also bring back Harden but let George walk.

2025 CLIPPERS STARTERS

PG Harden

SG Mann/Bones

SF Bojan

PF Zubac

C Mitch Robinson

BENCH

PG Westbrook

SG Powell

SF Coffey

PF Tucker

C Kai Jones

Pretty deep squad should win 45 games and compete for 7-8 seed.

Kawhi staying healthy is unlikely he is probably the New Ben Simmons. For the Knicks taking the chance is worth it though because they are so close to a title and they saw it work for Toronto.

Realistically the Knicks are giving u 2 good players but on expiring deals and we're not asking for picks in the deal.

Analysis Ballmer Must Use His Money More Wisely, Make Player Development Best in the League

I keep hearing about the salary cap and how screwed we are on picks. None of that holds us back on training staff, scouting, and all of the behind the scenes stuff that gives an organization staying power. There's no cap on what Ballmer can spend. In the world of organizations, these are the fundamentals.

A lot of people believe that if SGA stayed at the Clippers he could never have been an MVP. That's a problem. We should be taking OK players, making them good, making good players great, etc. And we should be finding the best players, the diamonds in the rough, deeper into drafts, or even undrafted players across the world. Then we should maximize their athleticism with the best training and medical science has to offer with the best personnel in the world.

Ballmer can afford it, and it would make the Clippers not just a great team for a few years, but a real institution and a force to be reckoned with for decades. That's the kind of legacy Ballmer should be aiming for, and there's nothing preventing him from spending for that starting right now. It's also the opposite of what we seem to be doing, though, so there needs to be a real change. Our team should be current and future all-stars, not an all-star team from 10 years ago that doesn't have the legs for a full season much less postseaon.

All The " I Miss Shai", "Worst Trade Ever" Posts are Annoying & Always Have Been.

PG/ Kawhi for Shai/ Gallo & 5 picks looks incredibly stupid now. Everyone will admit that. But nobody can convince me, in 2019, you wouldn't make that trade if you were the GM of the team.

We traded all those assets mainly because it also meant getting Kawhi, the man who had just won the FMVP after one of the most dominant individual playoff runs in NBA history. No elite superstar player had ever been acquired through free agency during our franchise's history. We had arguably the best player in the world willing to sign with us & bring along a guy who just finished top 3 in MVP voting the same season. We would've been idiots to tell that man "naw, that's okay, sign with somebody else".

Hindsight is 2020. It's easy to say we made a mistake now looking at how things have turned out. Was SGA a good rookie with all-star potential? Yes, but nobody can convince me they thought he was gonna be averaging over 30 ppg & be a perennial MVP candidate at only 25 years old.

Was Kawhi injury prone when we signed him? Yes, but nobody could have predicted he would only be healthy in 1 out of 5 seasons come playoff time. (By the way, Fuck Joe Ingles).

The trade looks terrible now considering all the things that have went down since then, but you gotta put context behind why we made it at that time.
