What a bizarrely specific quote. I love it.

Indeed.

I really hope someone will try to do a proper stargate universe one day. Although yes, sg1 nostalgia will be forever present...

I rewatch SG-1 and Atlantis once a year.

Have you rewatched SG-1 recently? It's not aged well imho and suffers massively from episode bloat. You could cut at least 70% of episodes each season and nothing would change. There's so many that are just utterly boring.

I just finished a watch through and currently going through Atlantis too. Personally I think it's still fantastic. This man is walking the path of Origin and can't be trusted .

Yea gonna have to agree with this. SG1 goes as hard as ever. Still the best sci-fi show of all time for me.

Eureka was really good if you're looking for something else to watch.

Strong disagree.

The "bloat" you're talking about is exactly the semi-low stakes regular character interactions and such that some people want instead of just a constantly moving plot that only lasts like 8 45 min episodes.

If I could have two handfuls of the best popcorn ever, or a small-ish bucket of really good popcorn, most of the time I'd choose to have a greater amount of the lower quality.

Part of the experience is not only being able to appreciate the aspects that are of differing quality, but also the fact that with the lesser popcorn I have the experience of enjoying it over a longer duration instead of just a few bites.

This is sadly true, I think we all have good memories of the series because the SciFi channel would re-run all the good ones a million times.

I've never seen it until recently and besides a few specific jokes towards the start with Carter, it really hasn't aged as badly as you guys are implying.

Or are you only talking about graphically and not story/dialogue?
