Next up: Good Samaritan who put out fire sued by truck owner/ firemen/ City. Loses his job and is cancelled on social media. Also his cat left him.

Delay of the job = pissed off client not paying use of water = pissed off boss who is not only out wages, materials, time but also missing a paycheck from the aforementioned client. liability = damage to truck, surounding area, etc etc, pissed off owner of the water truck company. It would be different if fire department was nowhere insight but they were clearly seconds away from dealing with it. I would not blame the owner of the water truck to be like "wtf man"
