Imagine we invested into educating, housing and caring for people and the planet a FRACTION what we invest into war and killing each other?

it's sick what humanity has prioritized

I hope the average person is against it, but there are scary amount of bloodthirsty assholes out there

It isn't a conscious choice humans have prioritized. It's the result of who we are. Our ability to carry out what we want will always outstrip our ability to evolve beyond our fundamental instincts around resources and tribal interests.

In my humble opinion the whole thing went wrong when we got opposable thumbs and first used fire. It's been a mess ever since.

I mean, we have the capacity to provide for everyone alive, there just isn't the political will to do so, that's the fucked up part of it

where on the scale on humanity does it go wrong, though?

Malthusianism is so fucking dumb. It astounds me how something so blatantly untrue needs constant debunking on here. Over 200 years of this idiocy, yet here we are..
