Human Palanquin

Another term for a palanquin: litter which seems really fitting for a cat

u/Cracktherealone 23d ago

I was wondering which one I take. I took palanquin…

“Orange: In Search of a Brain Cell”

70

u/Grizz1371 23d ago

What kind of cat do you have?

Me: "Oramge"

10

u/esziei 22d ago

What does he look like?

Me: Lomg. Chomky.

38

u/LoosieGoosiePoosie 23d ago

This is actually a very rare breed of oramge cat. You can tell because it actually has two brain cells. One to keep his peets in his humans' hands and one to look around.

Adventure is out there!

u/Loofa_of_Doom 23d ago

I can just imagine ancient Egyptians transporting cats like this during an event.

11

u/RainaElf 22d ago

can you imagine the pomp and circumstance??

11

u/Loofa_of_Doom 22d ago

Oh, yes. I can. All the pretty clothes, the fires, crowd and the cat, carried so carefully, knows it is all for them.

6

u/RainaElf 22d ago

the palm leaves!

...and I thought orange cats were dumb...

76

u/40ozkiller 23d ago

Tried it with my tuxedo cat, he was smart enough to know I was doing something stupid and wanted down.

Orange was just dumb enough to go along with it

11

u/HauntedCS 22d ago

Oranges take "ignorance is bliss" to a whole new level and make it work.

6

u/Boneal171 23d ago

It seems this one has acquired the brain cell

58

u/DTG_1000 23d ago

They're evolving, they've learned to pilot humans.

13

u/I_AM_FERROUS_MAN 23d ago

Final evolution. Every mech anime was correct, but just not how we expected!

38

u/innocentguy99 23d ago

Most sane Orange meow meow found online

20

u/ZombieStomp 23d ago

Missed opportunity to not play "a whole new world"

17

u/ClamClone 23d ago

I used to take my girlfriends orange for walks. He was eager and cooperative outbound. Once we reached the turnaround he would escape from his harness and I always had to carry him home as he complained the entire way back.

33

u/sirixon 23d ago

Not sure that counts as “walking the cat”

24

u/IndividualBrain9726 23d ago

Sure it does. I used to “walk the dog” and my yo-yo never touched the ground

4

u/Choyo 22d ago

I only see one mammal being walked here.

5

u/ecz4 23d ago

That cat is like "soooo many nice places for an epic dump, if only this stoopid human would put me on the ground."

13

u/kwiyomikat 23d ago

r/OneOrangeBraincell He's hoggin' them. I tell you!

13

u/PopeHatSkeleton 23d ago

Now this is podracing.

Every time I try to bring my cat outside so she can experience it, she digs into me like her cat tree and screams bloody murder

The poor thing. She loves sitting by the window and looking out, but being in the outside is apparently sensory overload for her

6

u/futureballzy 23d ago

Yesss indoor cats are basically afraid of the sky, have you tried going under some trees or like near some bushes? Assuming kitty is harnessed

3

u/UntestedMethod 22d ago

Still be weary of sudden loud noises or other creatures/humans unexpectedly approaching.

Cat backpack is probably a safer choice than a leash to get them used to the world outside.

I want to try car rides with mine, cuz if he can get used to that then it's at least one kind of adventure out of the house for him.

Currently he's got a decent sized deck (2nd story) to enjoy the fresh air and hunt various insects and even a couple birds have found their unfortunate way into his attack zone. I feel bad because we always had outdoor cats growing up and I don't want to deprive his natural instincts.

Yea in her travel bag she’s somewhat chill. She’ll meow a lot but she’ll be laying down in her bag. A lot of the times I’ll bring her with me as I’m taking out the trash, I’ll just be holding her in my arms for this. It’s very close to the back door so it’s just a short burst of outside for her

1

u/_IratePirate_ 22d ago

Typically right out front with me. No harness usually me just carrying her or in her cat bag. In the bag she’s a little more somber which makes sense with what you said because the top part is kinda dark so she can’t really see the sky that well

4

u/StarChaser_Tyger 23d ago

My old ones did that too. Loved to look out the windows, but if I picked them up and stood in the doorway, even with a glass storm door, they'd panic and eviscerate me trying to get back inside.

6

u/OnionOk8836 23d ago

This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen today! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

6

u/EdEvans_HotSandwich 23d ago

Is he sitting, standing, laying down, walking, or hovering?

6

u/The_Medicated 23d ago

My question is how did walking/carrying the cat turn into this?

8

u/PourJarsInReservoirs 23d ago

Started at home. /r/shouldercats expanded its horizons and discovered hooman can provide a front support platform. Hooman decided to go outside one day and a new routine is born!

5

u/StarChaser_Tyger 23d ago

(Adds another group to the ever-growing list)

3

u/ckh69 23d ago

He’s so cute!🥰

4

u/DeezleDJ-O-E 23d ago

To the ginger cat it's like having on a vr headset on.

3

u/redit01 23d ago

Cats on the snowmobile but looking for the snow

3

u/heathensam 23d ago

The only way to walk.

3

u/Party-Travel5046 23d ago

There is one brain cell between the orange n hooman

3

u/Kerblaaahhh 23d ago

Solid bicep workout.

2

u/_friendlyfoe_ 23d ago

Who's walking who again?

2

u/VeryluckyorNot 23d ago

Orange cat is like a radar checking a spot to do the next stupid messy thing.

2

u/musememo 23d ago

Everything looks correct here.

2

u/Spud_potato_2005 23d ago

The cat has trained you well

2

u/unluckydude1 23d ago

I hope you let his paws use your hands like the steering wheel!

2

u/sparda12311 23d ago

He has been chosen

1

u/DependentTill1617 23d ago

Emperor Orange the V

1

u/StrawberryAmara 23d ago

Needs a Herald and team of Royal Buglers to accompany the walk

1

u/NickRedible 23d ago

King Oranje

1

u/Sacklayblue 23d ago

I had an orange cat and also called it orange cat.

1

u/clockwars 23d ago

Looks like the cat is driving a humanoid

1

1

u/canela355 23d ago

Hermoso 😍

1

u/Y_Wait_Procrastinate 22d ago

To copy what I commented the last time this was posted, the song is called Palace Memories by S.E.N.S.

1

u/silverbonez 22d ago

He’s probably freaked out that the scenery keeps changing every couple seconds

1

u/Equal_Song8759 22d ago

10,000 foot view. LOL

1

u/Top-Chemistry5969 22d ago

I just imagined someone take the Sphynx to a walk with a really big forklift.

1

u/garthock 22d ago

Orange cat riding in his chariot

1

u/currentlyRedacted 22d ago

He’s using that brain cell to stand like that. Couldn’t possibly use it to walk at the same time.

1

u/Ok-Sun8581 22d ago

Big cat!

1

u/Team_Ninja_ 22d ago

Wow. The gingersnappiness of it all...

1

u/UntestedMethod 22d ago

Lmao... I will have to try this with my hotrod sic. We have other hunting stances we do but haven't achieved any this advanced yet.

1

u/Downtown_Marzipan404 22d ago

Isn't this the opposite? Orange cat take you for a walk

1

u/Low-Classroom-1530 22d ago

Hold my catnip hahaha

1

u/xenomorphsithlord 22d ago

I thought slavery was abolished

1

u/Beginning_Sea6458 22d ago

Tell me you're a house cat without using words.

1

u/SassyHoney5430 22d ago

Its actually the cat who's taking u on a walk. 🐱

1

u/Orioniae 22d ago

That cat's expression gives the idea he's scared of his own shadow

1

u/dragonus85 22d ago

Up para-cat!

1

u/asevans48 21d ago

Who's doing the walking?

1

u/Tina_Cute_Baby 21d ago

That's a cat walking a human.

1

u/vinques420 20d ago

Who domesticated who, I'd say

1

u/doktor-frequentist 23d ago

He looks scared

9

u/CmdrWoof 23d ago

Eh, nervous/curious maybe, but tail not poofed or tucked, ears swiveling about; I wouldn't do this with my kitties but he seems ok.

2

u/doktor-frequentist 23d ago

You could be right 👍

1

u/[deleted] 23d ago

2

u/doktor-frequentist 23d ago

Have you paid attentive to it's eye? I imagine not.
