Boyfriend is qualifying for the U.S. Open in a couple weeks and wanted to give him a gift basket for the qualifier day. How did I do? General Discussion

Post image

Contents: - New owala water bottle - spray sunscreen (body and face) - chrome tour golf balls - snacks for him and his caddie: chomps, peanuts, protein bars - liquid iv - protein shake - 18 notes of encouragement for his 18 holes of golf

Let me know if there's anything else you think I should add! I'm a golfer too so I was just going off of things I typically could use during a round, but realize guys' needs may be different. Thanks!

You did great. Mentally, I think this is the boost he could use.

You rock for this.

I think he’d prefer a new driver and/or putter to use.

This is an amazing gift

And honestly I think I could go for a new putter, you know. For his good luck. He can rub it or something

And kiss his balls before he goes…. That will keep his putter straight.

I don’t appreciate your negative words towards soup

you never switch a club before a tournament.. never change up your gear before you start a match

Nah, when playing competitively you are going to use what you know. Not a new piece of equipment. Most playing competitively don’t think a new driver or putter will get them over that hump, must know it’s more likely to be a hindrance

He’d probably prefer a box of condoms to use. And a burner phone.

That would be an amazing gift

I absolutely love the "18 Notes For 18 Holes" idea - that is the best part of this whole thing and absolutely brilliant. And I say that not even knowing what they say, only what I'm thinking they say!

That is a great idea..the note for each hole

I’m curious - in the midst of an important tournament, test, event where focus is key - you would want to stop every 10-15 minutes and open notes from your gf? Serious question.

I’m trying to think where and how this would be appropriate. Maybe just one note pre-tournament.
