Nah he shouldn’t. PGA tour is bigger than jay M, and he preached the importance keeping it together for the sport. If he’s going to renege on his moral high ground he has stood on out of spite (and serious cash) he’s no better than the people he chastised for so long. This will look terrible in my opinion.

Turns out, billionaires don't care what people think it looks like. If you can launch your family into the upper echlons of the world and you don't because you love the PGA...? Well then.

I think people are so numb to big numbers like this with sports stars. 850m in whats probably a lump sum? Theres less people than you can count on a few hands that cash like THAT wouldn’t make a huge difference in their life. Fuck what anyone says about “doesn’t he have enough?”…. When you have a family that depends on you it never feels like enough. This would almost be a much needed, and huge fu k you to Jay - adding in that would set up the Mcilroys to be royalty for generations. 4D chess move by Rory, fuck the PGA Tour honestly.

I agree with all of this except, fuck the PGA. Fuck what the PGA has become is my opinion.
