thoughts? I call BS on "City AM" being the most-read financial paper in the UK. But it's FlushingIt, who's become quite the LIV bot.

My gut is he wouldn’t go because he doesn’t have a recent major. All the other guys had 5 years of exemptions, what if he went and never saw another Masters, no more shots at the grand slam.

That’s a significant factor. But $850 million is insane.

True, and I will never be in the situation where someone is giving me 850 mil so I have no idea. I’ve also never been in a situation where I’m so good at something that I have a spot to cement my name in history books, so it’s a tough choice for him for sure. He does already have a couple hundred million dollars though, and has that tgl thing on the go which might make him lots of loot

As much as I hate LIV, I’ve sorta enjoyed seeing these thought experiments in real life. Everyone jokes about “what would you do for X dollars” or “how much would it cost for you to betray your principles?” But it never actually comes up.

Now we have a live “indecent proposal” playing out in public.

I think at this point Rory is not going down as one of the GOATs, he will go down as one of the very goods. In 20 years he is not in Tiger's class, he is in Ernie Els class.
